La Godru Αρλετος Κώστας — Restaurant in North Tzoumerka Municipality

This is not a review of the food of this establishment. It is an intense critique of the way the particular restaurant has in my opinion destroyed a historic Greek village with tasteless umbrellas right at the entrance of the village. The inhabitants of this village have spent an enormous amount of time, energy and money over many decades to maintain everything in the traditional style. This is a crying shame and a disgrace.

Δεν έφαγα εδώ ούτε ήπια κάτι. Το ένα αστέρι το βάζω γιατί κατά την γνώμη μου καταστρέφει τελείως την είσοδο του πιο όμορφου χωριού στην Ελλάδα με τις ομπρέλες και τις πινακίδες του σαν να είναι στο Μοναστηράκι ή σε κάποιο τουριστικό μέρος γ' διαλογής. Απορώ πως το επέτρεψαν οι κάτοικοι που τόσα χρόνια κατάφεραν να διατηρήσουν το χωριό τόσο καλά.

Η δικαιολογία ότι καταστράφηκε ο πλάτανος είναι πραγματικά αστεία. Ας φρόντιζε τον πλάτανο, ας φύτευε κι άλλα δέντρα τόσα χρόνια. Όλοι οι άλλοι κάτοικοι τόσα χρόνια κάθε φορά που χρειάζονταν σκιά δεν έβαζαν έτσι πρόχειρα χυδαίες διαφημιστικές κατασκευές. Στην πλάτη του κόπου τους τώρα αρπαχτή; Θέλετε σκιά για τους πελάτες σας; Σκεφτείτε έναν τρόπο που να συνάδει με τον τόπο. Αν δεν δείχνετε σεβασμό πρώτα από όλα εσείς πολύ γρήγορα το χωριό θα χάσει τον τουρισμό του.

Είναι μέγιστο επίτευγμα τόσα χρόνια που δεν έχει αμάξια το χωριό. Με κόπο και έξοδα διατηρήθηκε. Μπήκε στα πλάγια η είσοδος για να μην καταστραφεί. Όχι για να το εκμεταλλεύονται χυδαία. Στο Συρράκο ΜΙΑ κίτρινη ομπρέλα έβαλε κάποιος και φαίνεται από μακριά. Αν θέλετε σκιά φτιάξτε κάτι άλλο. Αν θέλετε ομπρέλες, τουλάχιστον να μην είναι χυδαίες και κακόγουστες διαφημιστικές. Wow. What a view! And made even more special with delicious home made food and friendly service. This place is a gem, a must rest stop on a beautiful mountain journey! We had three types of home made pita, keftedes, kafteri (spicy cheese dip) and a small carafe of local dry red wine. And coffee to cap it off. A lovely place to have a coffee/tea or a meal even. The owner is very polite and friendly. We went for coffee/tea and some cheese and spinach pies. Everything was great! We sat at the upper floor, inside (it was winter time) and the view was magnificent!
