We decided to stop at this restaurant as the views were incredible especially at sunset overlooking the beach. We sat down and wanted to order some traditional Greek cuisine. We went for the chicken souvlaki and asked what the fish of the day was. The waitress told us it was sea bream and sole. That it would be portioned into fillets and grilled, so we went ahead and ordered it. She highly recommended this dish. After 50 minutes of waiting and other tables who came after us getting their food ours finally arrived. Both dishes were cold (cold stale fries, soggy carrots, and only one fish that was fried not grilled and soggy on the bottom as though it had been sat for a while) After waiting so long we decided to take the loss and just eat the food, a big mistake. Eventually we got the bill after a rather depressing meal and it came out at 52 euros. They had added bread we never ordered or ate and charged us 37 euros for the fish. The waitress was apologetic for the meal after we told her we were disappointed and didn’t feel it would be fair to pay 37 euros for the fish dish. (As it was one fish, not two, not as described and it was unfairly priced) She said she would speak with her manager. 5 minutes later she comes back offering a 3 euro discount - for the bread and water she said. Keep in mind we hadn’t ordered any bread anyway, this was laughable. We asked to speak with her manager directly. A man came over, looking very disinterested and wouldn’t look my girlfriend or myself in the eye. After a few minutes of back and forth he just held the card machine out with the full amount (including the bread still). After further discussion he eventually said he would take 7 euros off and that this was a big inconvenience for them so we would have to pay in cash. Safe to say we won’t be returning. If you like mediocre, cold, overpriced food that takes forever to arrive, with terrible service (from the management) as a side dish then you’ll...
Read moreWe stopped to eat something in this "restaurant" on the beach yesterday evening and we had a quite singular experience. Unfortunately the food was horrible and embarrassing to say the least. We ordered feta cheese (tiny slice of dry cheese with zero olive oil or origano on it), tzaziki that was worst quality than the one from supermarket, pizza Margherita that I would be embarrassed to serve to anyone and soggy French fries. We did also ordered fried calamari that we never received. At the end of the meal we told our waiter that we did not get the calamari and she responded saying that it was ready for us to receive. Because we already finished the dinner it did not make any sense so we said we didn't want them. The girl went to speak to her manager and they both argued in front of us, as we did something to them. I found this behaviour absolutely ridiculous and not proper since it wasn't our fault if they didn't bring us part of our order. We ended up paying for it anyway and we didn't even complain because to be honest, with mediocre places like this, it's pointless to argue. In summary, horrible food and horrible unprofessional service. Never going back! Only nice thing there is the...
Read moreVisited mid evening early June. A few locals in normally a good sign. Ordered 1/2 litre of wine and calamari. Waited fifty minutes before going to the bar and asking about my order (the place was really quiet food wise) this resulted in my calamari being appearing several minutes later. The calamari was a struggle to cut so after sampling a few bites I went and paid. Worst meal and service in two weeks traveling around western Greece. Obviously they didn't have a cook and somebody was having a go at keeping the kitchen open. Went back up into the village to the Grill bar, what a contrast I had an amazing giros with rose and a smile at a fraction...
