5 stars for "Manolas", because the tavern, the food and the service were good. I will give details below. However, I didn't feel good, therefore I have no intention to come back.
Details: Location is wonderful. I cannot imagine a better place for a tavern: the bay, in a fishermen's village. Nice view, lovely greek houses, turquoise sea water. Food was ok. As expected. Not spectacular, but tasty and fresh. Service was also good. I noticed a young waiter trying to be fast, as fast a greek can be :). And the boss, which I suppose is Manolas, talking to guests, inviting them to stay and then recommending some plates from the menu.
Nothing wrong, technically, but we had the strong feeling that the human interraction was very false. Too much "friendship" and trying too hard to convince you to choose specific dishes he might prefer to sale and, after setting the menu, the guests becoming invisible. Manolas give instructions to the little servant, then goes back to his olimpian occupation: waiting in front of the tavern, cit-chatting people to gather them to his tavern. It may be nothing wrong, however I didn't like. However, as you may see, 5 stars are for the tavern itself and not for...
Read moreI had the pleasure of dining at Manolas, and I must say, it was an unforgettable experience! From the moment we stepped in, we were warmly greeted by the staff, who provided top-notch service throughout our meal.
Now, let's talk about the food - oh, the food! As a seafood enthusiast, I was thrilled by the array of fresh fish and seafood options on the menu. Each dish was expertly prepared, bursting with authentic Greek flavors that left my taste buds dancing with joy. From the succulent grilled octopus to the perfectly cooked shrimps and calamari, every bite was a delightful journey to the shores of Greece.
What truly set Manolas apart, though, was the impeccable service. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about ensuring we had a fantastic dining experience. They went above and beyond to accommodate our requests and make us feel welcomed and valued.
In summary, if you're craving delicious seafood served with a side of exceptional service, look no further...
Read moreWe ordered, from the menu, grilled octopus, frozen, fried squid, and Greek salad, and Plastiga beer to drink. They didn't have frozen squid, but fresh and more expensive, and they didn't have Plastiga beer either, but Manolas, also more expensive. The octopus arrived in 2 minutes and was cold and stringy. The squid was not a good scrub. The salad was below average, and the Manolas beer tasted a lot below Alfa beer, and the price is €5! We had to ask for salt and other spices later. Waiters, young boys, like robots, no smile and not friendly. (except for the girl, who was really smiling and interested in her work). After lunch they didn't even ask if we were satisfied with the food... I don't like to give negative reviews but this was a huge disappointment and I can't express the anger I feel...
