Nice View Tavern — Restaurant in Thermaikos Municipality

Ergänzung: Wir waren drei Mal dort zum Abendessen, weil es uns dort einfach so gut schmeckt und die Betreiber sehr freundlich sind. Wir waren immer mit 3 bzw. 4 Personen und haben vieles der Speisekarte probiert. Es war alles sehr lecker. Die erste Bewertung im Anschluss gilt unverändert.

Erstbewertung: Wir waren gestern das erste Mal hier zum Abendessen. Aufmerksam auf das Restaurant wurden wir durch Bewertungen. Wir wurden sehr freundlich begrüßt und, da das Wetter etwas wechselhaft war, gefragt, ob wir strandnah oder überdacht sitzen möchten. Wir haben uns für überdacht entschieden. Kaum saßen wir kam erst einmal eine große Flasche Wasser. Dann ging es ans Essen bestellen. Wir entschieden uns für verschiedene Vorspeisen (frittierte Zucchini, frittierte Auberginen, Tzatziki, Brot dazu) und als Hauptgericht Spaghetti mit Garnelen und gegrillter Oktopus. Es war alles sehr lecker zubereitet und hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Das Inhaberpaar und Bedienstete sind sehr freundlich und tolle Gastgeber. Zum Abschluss des Essen gab es vom Restaurant Eis mit Schokoladensauce. Die Verabschiedung war ebenfalls sehr freundlich und dass man sich über einen erneuten Besuch sehr freuen würde. Alles in allem: Es war ein schöner Abend mit leckeren Essen und tollen Gastgebern. Der Blick über die Bucht auf Thessaloniki in der untergehenden Sonne ist auch sehr schön.

We were here for dinner for the first time yesterday. We were made aware of the restaurant through reviews. We were greeted very warmly and, as the weather was a bit changeable, asked whether we wanted to sit near the beach or under cover. We chose under cover. As soon as we sat down, a large bottle of water arrived. Then it was time to order food. We decided on various starters (fried zucchini, fried eggplant, tzatziki, bread) and for the main course, spaghetti with shrimp and grilled octopus. It was all very deliciously prepared and tasted very good. The owners and staff are very friendly and great hosts. At the end of the meal, the restaurant served ice cream with chocolate sauce. The farewell was also very friendly and they said they would be very happy to have us visit again. All in all: It was a lovely evening with delicious food and great hosts. The view over the bay to Thessaloniki in the setting sun is also very beautiful.

Translator Greek: Πρόσθεση: Πήγαμε εκεί για δείπνο τρεις φορές γιατί μας αρέσει τόσο πολύ και οι ιδιοκτήτες είναι πολύ φιλικοί. Πάντα πηγαίναμε με 3 ή 4 άτομα και δοκιμάσαμε πολύ από το μενού. Ήταν όλα πολύ νόστιμα. Η πρώτη αξιολόγηση στη συνέχεια ισχύει αμετάβλητη.

Αρχική αξιολόγηση:

Πήγαμε εδώ για δείπνο για πρώτη φορά χθες. Γνωρίσαμε το εστιατόριο μέσα από κριτικές. Μας υποδέχτηκαν πολύ φιλικά και, καθώς ο καιρός ήταν λίγο άστατος, μας ρώτησαν αν θα θέλαμε να καθίσουμε κοντά στην παραλία ή σκεπασμένοι. Επιλέξαμε καλυμμένο. Μόλις καθίσαμε ήρθε ένα μεγάλο μπουκάλι νερό. Μετά ήρθε η ώρα να παραγγείλω φαγητό. Επιλέξαμε διάφορα ορεκτικά (τηγανητά κολοκυθάκια, τηγανητές μελιτζάνες, τζατζίκι, ψωμί) και ως κυρίως πιάτο μακαρόνια με γαρίδες και χταπόδι στα κάρβουνα. Όλα ετοιμάστηκαν πολύ νόστιμα και είχαν πολύ καλή γεύση. Το ζευγάρι των ιδιοκτητών και το προσωπικό είναι πολύ φιλικοί και υπέροχοι οικοδεσπότες. Στο τέλος του γεύματος υπήρχε παγωτό με σάλτσα σοκολάτας από το εστιατόριο. Ο αποχαιρετισμός ήταν επίσης πολύ φιλικός και θα ήμασταν πολύ χαρούμενοι για μια επιστροφή. This is not just a beach restaurant, that’s a place of a deep love. Love for food and service. We have been coming to this restaurant for many years (at least five) and it’s seen our kids grow from chicken nuggets to grilled octopus. This is a place where you can also feed your oh-I’m-not-eating-that kids. At least tasty basics secured. For grownups there is always fresh fish and seafood and all the Greek favorites. Now - what stands out - the people who run this place. We have learned so much through the conversation, the care they offer to each of their visitors. We’ve learnt about the places to visit (ask about a same day trips tips!), the history to enjoy, the wines to taste. Their choice of wines is impeccable - including one of the local big names - Ktima Gerovassiliou. Last but definitely not least - do ask for an orange Greek cake with ice cream!...

We had grilled sardines and squid which was tasty. Salad was also ok. Just a bit longer waiting but it's ok. They were willing to give us half a portion of sweet pepper as we didn't want much. I would go there again.

Update: We went there again. We had a flight so we wanted to eat faster. The owner did not even make it faster but much slower than before. He said: you are on holiday why do you need things fast ( doesn't matter if it's a holiday or living there i think). I asked him to bring the recipe fast and nothing for 10 minutes, then i needed to go and ask him to pay and he started to chat with me about why we are not taking a taxi and taking the bus and teaching what to do... Food is good but how they look at us tourists as full of money is not a...
