Taverna Anemos — Restaurant in Thermaikos Municipality

In short: good food - messy service In long: After being seated we were served water and had to wait for 15-20 min. to get the menus. On the topic of being seated, you will struggle to find worse chairs wherever you go. The worst possible chairs I have every seen. We ordered 2 beers, greek salad, grilled feta cheese, stuffed burger, pasta with shrimps. Here is the order in which they came: two beers - so far so good greek salad - also good stuffed burger - at this point I think they forgot about the starter we ordered, and only one of the main meals, not the other after a lot of waiting, and after I was done with my food (while wife was hungry) came the grilled feta cheese. At this point we were trying to get the bill pay and leave, I just asked them if they can give me couple of small pieces of extra bread for the kid. right when we were about to stand up and go (after 15 min after the grilled cheese) we got the bill and the pasta, we said all right let's have the wife eat now, and we'll try to feed him pasta, since no bread arrived. it took them extra 15 min. to send three pieces of extra bread.

All of the food was excellent, couldn't find any problem with it.

We paid 45 eur for this experience. Judge however you want from our experience.

I would not like to visit this restaurant again. We decided to eat here as it was busy and busy means popular and good. However in this case we couldn't have been more wrong. We sat right by the water which was a distance from the entrance. It was fairly loud of course, due to the many guests. We waited quite a while for our food. Once it finally arrived I was a little disappointed with my dish. The meat and the potatoes were dripping with oil. I'm not sure if this is typical Greek food, but it was just too much! The portions were ok in comparison to the price we paid. All in all the food isn't anything spectacular. Due to it being so packed we ended up walking to the front of the location to get someone's attention regarding the bill. It seemed as though you were ignored as soon as the food was served. After finding a waiter and another 10 minutes of waiting we were handed a hand written paper and ended up paying less than what was due. The food was really good, I can't deny that. But it's one of the very few places in Greece where I truly felt ripped off as a tourist. As I was traveling alone, I asked for 1/4 liter of wine, which was confirmed. Instead, the waiter brought 1/2 liter, which I had to refuse. Then, when I paid the bill by card, I asked the waiter to add a 3 euros tip (which, considering that I was dining alone, was 13% - which I find reasonable).
