Taverna Drosia — Restaurant in Zagora - Mouresi Municipality

We were in Pilion for a few days. The first evening we went into this restaurant. We really enjoyed vegetarian stuffed tomatoes and excellent meatballs. For dessert we got quality yogurt with a variety of excellent jams. On the second day we did not give up the excellent stuffed tomatoes and ordered both stuffed eggplant and the owner's handmade bread. On the third evening, we celebrated and ordered these dishes again. Dessert yogurt with a variety of jam made by the landlady is simply delicacy. We left the restaurant with 8 fine jam jars. This restaurant is highly recommended. You will receive traditional cooked food, quality raw materials and excellent taste. We will definitely come back again. Thank you Drosia!!

Ήμασταν στο Πήλιο για μερικές ημέρες. Το πρώτο βράδυ πήγαμε σε αυτό το εστιατόριο. Απολαύσαμε πραγματικά χορτοφαγικές γεμιστές ντομάτες και εξαιρετικές κεφτεδάκια. Για επιδόρπιο πήραμε ποιοτικό γιαούρτι με μια ποικιλία εξαιρετικών μαρμελάδων. Τη δεύτερη ημέρα δεν είχαμε παραιτηθεί από τις εξαιρετικές γεμιστές ντομάτες και διέταξε τόσο τις γεμιστές μελιτζάνες όσο και το χειροποίητο ψωμί του ιδιοκτήτη. Το τρίτο βράδυ, εορτάσαμε και διέταξε πάλι αυτά τα πιάτα. Το γιαούρτι για επιδόρπιο με την ποικιλία μαρμελάδας που παρασκευάζεται από τον ιδιοκτήτη είναι απλά λιχουδιά. Περπατήσαμε έξω από το εστιατόριο με 8 καλά βάζα μαρμελάδας. Αυτό το εστιατόριο είναι ζεστά μαγειρεμένο. Θα λάβετε παραδοσιακά μαγειρευτά φαγητά, ποιοτικές πρώτες ύλες και εξαιρετική γεύση. Having eaten out for the past week on our visit to this region, this was one of my favourite restaurants. The place is run by a delightful elderly couple who are warm, smiley and accommodating. The views from the restaurant balcony are incredible also.

A word of warning- if you are seeking another instagramable plate of food, or if you are in need of a soundtrack of drab pop-trance in the background or you want to be put off or threatened by snarling dogs whilst you eat then do not come here. If you want to feel that you are second fiddle to the restaurant staff when a prime basketball game is on then also do not come here. There are plenty of restaurants around that can provide all of that in abundance.

If you want to sample delicious, traditional food, served by those who are born of the mountain, and you want to enjoy the most flavoursome moussaka or Kleftico or more, then do come here. It is said that Madam Drosia would run cookery lessons back in the day for the droves of hikers that used to pass through the area once upon a time. Times are changing and nothing lasts for ever.
