Amigo Pool Zante Beach Bar Vasilikos Zakynthos — Restaurant in Zakynthos Municipality

Last year I thought they learned because now they serve the meals on ceramic plates and beer in glasses instead of plastic and paper (before they told us the use of plastic and paper is international law on pools). Unfortunately this is the only thing what became better. The quality of the food is poor but expensive. An Ouzo costs 5€ what is usury in my opinion. I really know a lot of nice places on this island but none is that expensive with self-service. I mean, there are no sun beds on the beach, only a crowded and loud pool with self-service. When I go to Nicolaos Beach for instance, I pay also 5€ but with full service on a really beautiful place. By the way the toilets are really horrible.

Anyway, this was definitely our last visit there.

As long as this beach bar was the Caretta Beach Bar, the food was OK and the location itself was imho a bit more beautiful.

Anyway, the food is still OK, but it is a pity that they have nearly no greek food but burgers, chicken wings and such stuff. Another annoying thing is that every food is served on paper plates with forks of wood. This is definitely not sustainable but it is a lot of waste! By the way, it is not a really good taste when eating from paper with wood. Why don’t use porcelain and steel?

Edit: The owner wrote there is a international law that makes it impossible using porcelain. I can't find any law regarding this and all the other beach bars around have no problem with it; find the error! Would be nice to get the information what law this shall be ...

Another thing is the drinks. Guys we were there two times and you didn't had Radler nor did you have Fix. This is not service, this is really poor.

Something about the environment. What I am really missing ist the place under the roof made of reed. It doesn't exist any longer. The next thing is the beach. The same story as before. It's getting more and more dirty. Is it really that big effort to clean the beach once a day? At least the beach beds should be clean but they aren't. Guys, in my opinion you shall keep the beach clean and this would lead to more customers.

Edit: Yes it is true, there is no costs for the beach or the bed. Nevertheless the beds aren't clean nor the beach is. Anyway, this would be a SERVICE! Don't you know the meaning of service? Why shall I appreciate this. There are other bars which have a clean beach and clean beds and yes without a fare. The owner mentioned I shall also tell about the good things. Hmm, you didn't had the drinks we wanted (even when the were printed on the menu), the beach was dirty as well as the beds. So what shall I say? Ah, OK, the pool area was clean but no information about...

We had a really nice time here. We've been there several times, enjoying the view, the pool, the food and friendly conversation with the guy at the bar! The prices are like in any other restaurant, bur the cherry on top of all is that you can use the pool and sunbeds for free. The pool was crystal clear everytime, and luckly we travelled in June and the place was not too crowded by kids. There is a big parking space right behind the beach bar. Although the bathrooms are small, they were really clean. We would love to get back to this place, if we ever get a chance to vizit...

This is the best place you can imagine. Never too busy, always open to everyone and the concept “you can stay for free, you just order something - if you want” just make you feel so good and ordering always all you can. Friendly atmosphere, great big pool, nice people and perfect service. Just like an pesais in busy island. It is tearing out hearts apart that we are leaving after 15 days.
