Giorgos Fish Tavern — Restaurant in Zakynthos Municipality

Please avoid this place at all costs! The definition of hunger for money sits in this place. Two sunbeds and an umbrella €14, fair price can’t complain there. But once you decide you want to take your lunch and go to another nearby tavern, the waiter is questioning you straight away: “where are you going?” “Why are you going?” “You have to eat here is the rule of the tavern” A rule of which we were not made aware upon paying for the sunbeds. I clearly explained I have a severe fish allergy and since they are a FISH tavern I’m putting my health to high risk which the waiter did not seem to care about at all! Rude waiter, rude owner, both hungry for money. Greek hospitality is insulted by them. We also asked for a refund for the sunbeds since we’ve been there for under an hour and apparently they do not issue a refund which was such a lie

Tourist trap and a Scam! If you rent sunbeds - you can’t leave that place to go to eat anywhere else(would be reasonable if they would say that at the begging while paying, not stop you in mid way going to eat). It’s so called “rule of the island” about which close by restaurants with lounges didn’t hear (asked few). Other visited beaches didn’t have that “rule” as well. During lunch place was empty - so food wise probably bad (didn’t try risking it). The most terrible experience we ever had . We (and all other guests) were waiting food for 2 hours . (Just 2 small dishes) All people already become angry Waiters even didn’t apologize and explain the situation. I watched how manager said very rudely to a group of Asian tourists: “relax! Here in Greece we don’t care time” 🤦‍♀️ and after they also got undercooked fish. At the end we got a receipt in which the amount was different from that indicated on the menu. after checking the menu they agreed and said the correct amount.
