I wouldnât recommend staying in the white windmill. 165 euros a night is way overpriced for what you get. You pay for the view and the fact youre sleeping in an old windmill and next to the blue caves. We thought Potamitis was gonna be very peaceful and picturesque. Itâs not. The entire day there is very bad and loud music blasting thru the speakers, the bad remix rnb top40 kinda stuff, ruins the experience of spending time in an old authentic greek spot. Music Untill 22:30. We couldnt even read a book in peace in the evening. Boom boom boom. The entire day the place is packed with tourists forcefully trying to open the door of the windmill. Understandable since there is no sign anywhere. I dont blame them.||Facilities are very basic. Old bed, old uncomfy mattress, old AC, a kettle but no seats or couch to drink tea. Very basic breakfast. You dont get to choose from the breakfast menu they just simply give you two slices of bread with one fried egg, one slice of cheese and a slice of turkey. Anybody bothering asking us what we like instead of just giving us some random food? When I took a look at the menu the next day and saw that eggs benedict was also on the menu with bacon and hollandaise sauce etc, I requested this. Got two sloppy poached eggs without sauce no bacon nothing and two dry slices of toast. (Gotta give you: good coffee and fresh orange juice). Like we didnt spend enough already a night to deserve to choose from the menu or get served quality! (165 euros a night). Bad service. Service and breakfast should be class for that money! Like it is anywhere else. In our own city Amsterdam you get class for that money. Treat your customers with respect!||After coming back from an amazing snorkeling trip the first day of our stay we noticed the place wasnt cleaned and no new towels. I asked the owner about this matter. She said: âwe donât do that. We only do that after 3 days!â Seriously? For 165 euros not even a mop of the floor and making our bed? Taking out the trash? Basic service? She reluctantly sent a cleaner guy.||We booked for 3 days months in advance cause we fell in love with the website (you guys do marketing well, thats for sure), you can only book a minimum of 3 nights. Basically forcing you to book 3 expensive nights. You can only pay in advance and all non-refundable. We regret it badly. In hindsight, We are under the impression that since the place is popular with tourists they dont bother to give you the experience you should have for 165 euros a night.||Things we liked:|- they picked us up from the ferry, very friendly and welcoming!|- The people working in the restaurant were friendly, they are not to blame|- The view|- Windmill from the outside.||Overall, this place wasnât as expected....

Read moreGreat view! Unfortunately, terrible service. I had to get FOUR people involved to finally receive my order. After 50 minutes (in super hot weather) and multiple requests to different waiters, and all others around me on other tables were already done and new ones even received their orders, I still hadn't even received my drink. After I was finally completely fed up, I had to walk to the main counter, looking for the manager, and there the cook, was so kind to finally serve me herself, as the male waiters all failed to do so. I was initially just wanting to leave after letting someone know, that they can cancel my order in case it didn't get completely lost.
I asked multiple times and did not even get the drink nor the food served until the very nice cook took charge.
Here small summary about what happened: First I inquired about a table, I sat down but then didn't get a menu for some time, I politely requested and then promptly got a menu and my order was taken, and after that pure catastrophe. The waiter who took my order never came back, and the other waiters that got to me, and I asked about my order, said all fine, it would be coming. One waiter even asked me if I wanted the bill??? After I sat there and never received anything, and then still when I begged him to at least get the sprite, because it was hot, and I was really thirsty, just smiled and said yes I should just sit and wait, I will get it! And he did return some minutes later though with nothing for me, instead served the drinks to the group next to me who arrived around 40 minutes after me. Why??
It would have been 0 stars, wasn't it then for the kind words and finally service of the only woman at the...
