De Churrascaria & Pizzaria Restaurante — Restaurant in City of Georgetown

trashy establishment with even trashier employees. I've been to this restaurant twice. the first time there was no incident. albeit the place is nothing to look at and there were ants crawling on the table it was fine. the second time I went the food was cold. I told the staff that since they dont have a microwave I'd just take that plate of food to go. they took that plate and insisted that I make myself another plate in a to-go box and I would be charged the same amount for the initial plate which didn't make much sense to me but I did it. when the bill game I was charged 8200 for me and my husband's food and lemonade. now that is fine if that's what I owe but the price was inflated and I know this because last time I came my husband ate double the food, and I got a caipirinha and a dessert and the bill was 2000 less. I complained about the bill- the girl who served me last time intervened and said the bill was less last time because I had said that I only had 6000 and so she didn't add the VAT. why do you need to justify your prices? you charge what you charge so just weight he "hot" food and let people pay for what they put on their plate. the change I got last time was enough to cover the 1004 VAT that I paid today. and how can you selectively apply the VAT. the owner and everyone in this...

10/29/22: I got the worst diarrhea I’ve ever had in my life. Two days in bed missing out on seeing Georgetown. I don’t know who to blame but can only speak from my experience. Staff completely friendly and attentive. The food was ok, it’s not a Fogo de Chão experience. I’ve been living on crackers and water for the past 48 hours. This experience had made me really consider turning vegan if this is how meat can ravage my insides. I can only imagine the meat wasn’t good because I am fine when eating red meat medium well. If the meat wasn’t good why would they serve that to people!? I basically paid them to make me sick. This is not right or fair. Care should go into the food that is being served and prepared. Hopefully no one else gets sick.

UPDATE 11/1/22: on day 5 of this feeling. Flying back to the states for care.

UPDATE 12/9/22: I picked up two different types of E.Coli and Cryptosporidium most likely from eating the salad which was probably washed with the local water. I am better today but I had other slight complications that will resolve soon.

STAY AWAY...

If you like "the Meats" then this is the place for you to go. While there take some time to chat with the owners both ladies are lovely. MUST have = Chocolate Cake in a Cup Possibly one of the best desserts anywhere. You never know where you will find that gem of a place, this is one of them. It's cash only so hope they add Visa card acceptance soon. Also, need to change the large screen TV to something other that Y&R soap opera. Dress is casual, food quality is good and atmosphere is down home. It's been here for 18 years and that say's a lot for the safe good quality food. If you are here all the time or on Business it is a place to visit at least once so you can decide. I will be enjoying Brasil C&P ongoing...
