Tourists Beware. My family and I got off our cruise ship and saw the daiquiri bar. We thought it would be a good place for a refreshing drink after a day of excursions. It was a terrible experience from start to finish. When we got in the open air restaurant, no one sat us. We sat at the bar and waited 5 minutes for someone to acknowledge us (the manager). I asked for a couple daiquiri samples to try. He gave them to us and then left, not coming back. Another girl who had been on the other end of the bar serving a different party, finally came over to us and asked what we wanted (pretty unpleasantly). We asked for one more sample and she informed us that flavor was not eligible for one. We decided in our flavor and ordered it. Drink was so-so. I could tell the hostess didn't want to be dealing with us, though appeared to have no problem serving what appeared to be a local party. When we finished our drink, we tried to get the staff's attention. The Manager counted money in his till infront of us and ignored us. The other girl was ignoring us around the corner. I finally had to get up and wave my card before they begrudgingly dealt with me. The girl tossed me a couple of receipts and was curt, I filled out what I needed to, put a small tip in the till even though I felt my family and I were mistreated, and left. It is obvious these folks dislike American tourists and we were the pin the tail on the donkey. Could have dealt without that...
Read moreVisited 4/13/22: The $17 beef nachos were very poor quality for the cost. Stale chips, canned cheese, and flavorless beef. I don't expect this poor quality at a local ballpark, much less on a Carnival owned island. Also ordered a $10 mixed drink, it was smaller and more expensive than the cruise ship drinks. Waiter saw that we didn't eat the nachos, said nothing, just brought the check. I want to support the local economy given covid issues, so I didn't complain and just paid it, but I want to let others know and I hope they increase the quality of their food. Also, all of the bars had the same menu, so while they appear to be different locations, they are all the same. I would not go recommend any of the bars or restaurants on the beach or close to the...
Read moreI do not believe this is the location I visited in Mahogany Bay. The one we visited was right on the beach path. Anyways, they were very very very busy. Understaffed. Most of them were working hard. I sat at the bar and asked to order the fried Snapper and the girl said "give me a minute". She never came back to take my order. 10 min later I asked a second person and she took my order. However it took about 45min for my food to arrive, which was acceptable given how busy they were. I really enjoyed the Snapper (and fries) and would...
