I was very disappointed with this restaurant. What was sold misleadingly as a fancy lamb shank on the menu (at a fancy price in local comparison) turned out to be a pasta (fusilli) with small meat cubes on top, with the meat cubes not even reminding me of the taste that lamb characteristically and unmistakably has. Someone else at our table ordered a pike-perch, with shrimp on top that was virtually inedible. We ended up not even ordering dessert to avoid more negative surprises.
Truth be told, after I complained, the waiter was willing to take the "lamb shank" back and allow me to order another dish instead, but it was getting cold on the terrace in the October evening and I didn't want my dinner companions to have to wait for my new order. We tried the cold pear soup with hard cheese and some kind of nuts (small quantity but the flavor bouquet was nice and the chilled blended soup was perfect in the hot weather) and the grilled cheese salad with a yogurt-y sauce (generous portion, tasty). The lemonade was refreshing and not too sweet, with lots of citrus flavor. The cafe is a bit of a walk from any bus stop, though, in case you are visiting without a car...
Read moreWasn't sure how to rate this restaurant. I think 3 out of 5 is quite fair. Let's start with pizza - dough is thin but unfortunately tasteless. No salt, no spices, adds quite OK. All in all avoid it. Now burgers - very good but... waiters speak very little english and don't ask how you would like it done. We got really really very rare. For me it's OK but I don't everyone would have liked it. Coleslaw OK, fries not...
