Párizsi Udvar Étterem & Panzió — Restaurant in Keszthelyi járás

Visiting the Castle of Festetics in Keszthely, we were looking for a restaurant in the surrounding area.||The Párizsi Udvar was just at the right place, and turned out to be a good choice.||We both ordered pike perch filet, my partner a roast one with Keszthely sauce and croquettes, and I breaded filet with buttered potatoes and tartar sauce.. ||My partner was sticking to his usual beer, and I washed down the fish –let it to swim a bit longer- with an excellent Lesence muscatel.||The service was fast and friendly, and the prices reasonable.||We were satisfied with our dishes because they were well prepared, nicely presented, but not something really special, that would urge us to go back to this restaurant. ||If you visit the castle, it is close, and serves a...

In an 18th century large one-storey building around a large courtyard. It’s right next to the famous Festetics Palace. My room (7) was basic but had a double bed and good bathroom. The room faced the rear of the building well away from roads and was very quiet. An excellent cold buffet breakfast (ham, salami, cheese) was included in the price of the room of HUF 12,000 (about A$60). Free parking in the courtyard and code-free WiFi. We took a taxi from Heviz (6 km away) and asked the driver to recommend a restaurant. He dropped us close to two and we chose this one from the menu (more choices, lower prices). We each had a fish dinner but I had the "raguv" style and my lady the "rantva" style. They were each very good. I had a tap beer and she had a big glass of Muskotaly white wine.
