The hostel is located at the harbour. We stayed for two nights and were the only guests. This made it acceptable as a family, and we had a great time together.|The kitchen was ok for cooking etc and the living room to hang out.|We went fishing on a boat with a man named Siggi. He is the point of contact and a local guy who knows a lot about the village and the surrounding area. Fishing was fantastic in this very nice fjord. We caught a lot of big cod and a haddock. If you plan on going here then I recommend Siggi if you want to do something local. At the coffee house downstairs you pay for the hostel and you can also get coffee, soup, cake and beer.|Bring your own groceries if you want to cook because in this village there is no supermarket or...

We loved staying here! The environment was very clean and quiet, and the hostel never felt crowded even with eight other people staying with us. Siggi was a welcoming host and a knowledgable guide for his guests. We actually came across Siggi when we were looking to go on a fishing trip. We advise anyone who loves to fish to go out with him because it was not only exciting, but also very rewarding. Within two hours, we caught around 20-25 fish! We really recommend this place to all travelers, either for a fishing trip, a nice stay, or even a mix of both. Siggi's humbleness and the evident respect the townspeople have for him speaks to how well he keeps his hostel clean and...

Almost the entire menu is gluten-free and perfect for celiacs. The atmosphere is quiet, fun, and authentic. The soup was very tasty, and the staff — a wonderful couple — were so friendly, attentive, and patient. Truly a delightful experience!

Very friendly owners. It's situated in a small town with only 150 people but close to the capital of Westfjord (around 20min drive) Isafjordur. Got all the basic amenities so not bad for the price you pay for a private room.

We love this place. We make sure to come here every time we're in the area. We've been living in Reykjavík for a few years and this is our favorite coffeehouse in the entire country. Amazing cakes!
