This is the food hall attached to the parking lot for Geysir/Strokkur. There's a lot to choose from, but the prices and food quality are definitely tourist based, not as high quality as I am used to getting here in Iceland.
I got the lamb soup. I have had this at two other places and there's always plenty of vegetables and tender lamb... Not here. The soup was not very flavorful, the broth seemed kind of watered down, I had to hunt through r broth trying to find the few pieces of carrot and the lamb was chopped into squares and was great and tough. Not great. It was edible, it was hot.
There were other options like fish and chips and burgers. There were also ready to eat options like sandwiches and yogurt, etc. Oh! You could get real beer here. Some places only have the "grocery store beer" which here only has 0.3-0.6% abv. They sell the beer here by the van that you can get at the liquor store which has 5+%abv.
