ATHENA — Restaurant in Ajmer

Sorry for the late review. Dear Gazal and Osho, I am forced to write this raw review to help you improvise on your venture and achieve customer experience and satisfaction.

Few months back (May or June 2023) my folks planned to dine @otg Ajmer but we were on wait list. It started raining heavily so I requested them that we go to Athena and they agreed on my request. Whilst on our way we received a call from OTG restaurant that table is available for us, but we regretted and drove to Athena. Upon arrival…Expectations met reality right from…. Not at all welcoming entrance till NO regrets departure bk for OTG. There was no one to assist at the gate or on either of 2 floors / lounge. It was a messed up area like waiting room with no distinguishing attire between staff and guests. There were 3-4 tables available. While we waited 15 mins for some1 to actually help us figuring out who is the staff here or order taker. Who uses cloth table covers these days?? The table cover were soiled and dirty. Finally my brother managed to find one staff and requested to change the soiled table cover.. he said I can crumb the cover not change it. Further we asked for water and menu card… he came back after 15 mins with water and giving us the menu and left … we learnt the menu by heart but no one came to take our order. Not feeling welcomed my folks decided to leave killing our good 30 mins @ pathetic Athena jaha hum shayad jaye kabhi na😠 and reached OTG for a wonderful dinner n service.

Was looking to explore any new up class place for celebrating an occasion... This restaurant, on tripAdvisor is on No#3 in Ajmer and we decided to go there based on the reviews online.

The place is cramped... Upholstery of seats were unmaintained... Entry is through lift only.. stairs is from backside with undies of staff drying up... you won't like to take stairs with family...

We missed music or.any other media...

Staff are well mannered. The menu is little confusing, every dish you can order single portion and double portion .... We ordered mutton and chicken and some vegetable and daal fry... I didn't enquire exact details of quantity in single portion, so was disappointed to find that each item was served in big utensils with plenty of gravy and just four pieces of mutton or chicken... guess I should have clarified it... Plenty of oil was visible.. food tasted fine and that was the respite. We were lucky to have been the only customers there.. as it may not be the best place for a family dinner with young kids....

Price isn't moderate, actually it borders being...

Amazing atmosphere but slow table service. They should work on their ingredients as most of the time they are missing kinda spices so we were missing Spiciness somewhere in all their dishes. I think the cook need to understand the taste and they must started asking how customer wants the dishes to be coocked. 2 stars for the presentation, 1 missing star for slow table service, 1 missing for the lack of spiciness, 1 star for lack of ingredients those must have been used in dishes. They must understand we come such places to enjoy the spices and aroma otherwise we can ourselves cook such dishes at home. Well, it was so so experience. But, would definitely come back. Keep up...
