Adyar Ananda Bhavan - A2B — Restaurant in Andhra Pradesh

Adyar Anand Bhavan (A2B) is a well-known chain of vegetarian restaurants, and based on previous experiences at their Delhi and Tirupati branches, I had certain expectations. However, the Nellore branch did not quite match the standard set by other outlets.

Upon visiting, we specifically asked for Andhra meals. The staff, instead of offering an authentic Andhra-style meal, recommended their South Indian meals, claiming it to be the same. However, apart from podi and ghee, there was nothing particularly Andhra about it. The rest of the items were more in line with Tamil-style cuisine. Unfortunately, even in that aspect, the taste was underwhelming. It lacked the authentic flavors one would expect from either Andhra or Tamil Nadu cuisine, leaving it somewhere in between without a distinct identity.

One redeeming factor was the rasam, which was well-prepared and flavorful. Apart from that, the meal did not leave much of an impression. The overall dining experience felt mediocre, both in terms of food quality and authenticity.

Additionally, a small but notable point is that most restaurants provide mouth fresheners at the end of a meal, but this outlet did not. While it may seem minor, it adds to the overall experience, and its absence was noticeable.

In summary, this A2B branch does not live up to the reputation of the brand. If you are looking for authentic Andhra meals, this is not the place. Even for Tamil-style food, it does not quite hit the mark. A rather average...

I am a frequent visitor to Nellore branch. From last couple of visits, I had very pathetic experience. I went with my family for dinner and the guy took half an hour to get me a dosa. Finally I ended up cancelling that. The visit I had today was even a bitter experience. I wanted to cancel one of the item as I was full. I enquired the waiter if the order is prepared or not as I wanted to cancel if it was not yet prepared. He replied in a rude tone that there is no cancellation that can be done. I was not getting the point as how a restaurant can run without cancellation option. I was checking why it cannot be done and he quoted the last incident that I had with those guys. I was extremely shocked that was this a revenge story. In the first place he didn’t know what happened other day as he was not the guy who served the other day. I was just enquiring whether it is possible to cancel if it is not prepared. He can answer it in a more subtle tone. I was not wrong in my opinion on the employees in Nellore branch as I found similar review wrt the behaviour of the staff over there. This experience , when I went to spent some good time with my family, definitely makes to loose trust...

I should give them One star but for the people who are working over their needs a star more and according to my experience it is a useless in this area cause in the evening many people will visit to near of this place but they don't serve evening due to their limited availability and I lost my card in their restaurant and I searched my previous place but I didn't lost lost they took my card cause it's visa paywave they can loot money without swiping just tapping and I got mesaage about the transaction has been declined and I login to netbanking and check the transaction it showed the post machine named as A2B and I visited them they started to fight and showed them they didn't believed me so I called to my phone banking officer and asked him to tell my last transaction which is declined the person who is quarrelling with me has lost hi mind and I my friend started to blackmail him to return the card or we will approach policed and they returned our card and said we left the card with them...
