Read moreThe famous 'Babai idly' (Chacha in Telugu, father's younger. brother is referred as 'Babai' in Telugu language) came from here. It took me a whiie to check this place out. On our way back from Ongole, we made a pit stop to this ubiquiitious place in Gandhinagar area in Vijayawada, a city in the state of Andhra Pradesh, It was nearly half past eight in the morning, and the place was opened for service. We ordered idli, plain dosa, masala dosa. Tokens were issued first accordingly. You can either dine in or dine in the car and we chose the latter. Food is placed on a plantain leaf which is fresh and clean. Personally, I found the taste of the filling in the dosa, disappointing. The hygiene levels inside for dine-in customers is not up to the mark, quite repulsive in fact. Read moreI recently dined at Babai Hotel in Vijayawada and found the experience to be somewhat mixed. While the service was friendly and the location is quite central, I was disappointed with the cleanliness of the hotel. The tables and dining areas could benefit from a more thorough cleaning to enhance the overall dining experience.
The food was decent and offered a variety of choices, but the lack of attention to cleanliness overshadowed the meal. With improvements in hygiene, Babai Hotel could become a much more enjoyable spot for dining. For now, it's worth considering if you're in the area, but be prepared for some cleanliness issues.
I highly recommend this place as their recipies are really tasty, only expectation is this place is not for the people with obsessive compulsion disorder. I recommend this place for the students, who have got their exam centre in CBSE school opposite to this hotel. Don't worry about indigestion or something...
