Barkaas is a new addition to the middle eastern style restaurants in Gajuwaka. It also offers Indian cuisines along with middle eastern dishes. Below is my review of the restaurant for Arabian food -
Vibe & Aesthetics :
The vibe of the restaurant is quite good as they have tried to replicate the middle eastern look. The restaurant spans across two floors & has quite a lot of space for seating. We were two people & were asked to take the seating option which was quite comfortable & cozy. They also have options for chair seating & family rooms.
Food :
We ordered a half Al-Faham Chicken Mandi. The quantity was good & food was well cooked. The Mandi rice along with the Al-Faham chicken was quite good in taste. The sides given with Mandi were also adequate & good in taste. We didn’t get mayonnaise with the rice so had to order is separately.
Price :
The restaurant lies in mid tier price range. Our food costed us around 580 including GST.
The overall experience was quite good here. Will definitely recommend this restaurant if you are in Gajuwaka & want to try some good Arabian Food.
Few things where they can improve is maybe adding an option to buy cold-drink at MRP because now they don’t have an option to that & only offer 300mL at 40 rupees which is quite expensive. Also if possible then they should include mayonnaise as well with...

Review: Barkaas Indo-Arabic Restaurant
Barkaas offers a flavorful blend of Indo-Arabic cuisine that stands out for its rich spices, generous portions, and authentic Middle Eastern flair. Their signature Mandi and Kabsa are definite highlights — perfectly cooked meat over fragrant rice, served with a side of tangy sauce. The ambiance reflects a casual, family-friendly vibe, with decor inspired by Arabic culture.
Service is generally attentive, though it can get a bit slow during peak hours. Pricing is reasonable for the portion sizes, and it’s a great place for both group dining and takeaway.
If you're craving a fusion of Indian spices with Arabic culinary traditions, Barkaas is worth a visit.

Food is fine I would say I would give 3 out of 5 for Cleanliness or Hygiene AC was enough Good amount of space for various groups Points to Ponder: Parking will be challenge due to crowdy area You may avoid Soups as they were completely Indianized I have not tried Mandi, but seems to be an average looking at my friends' reactions Little expensive given the food quality Service staff uniform cleanliness can be improved Service staff can either improve their memory of order or take a note on their scribbling pads
Opinion - you would not miss anything if you have not visited this place unless you are a serious food...
