As a repeated customer of Hotel Shahi Darbar, I can confidently say that the quality of food — especially their Haleem — is consistently excellent. It’s one of the few places where the taste has remained authentic over time, and it continues to be a highlight of their menu.

That said, the overall experience has gone down compared to how it used to be earlier. The restaurant once had a great atmosphere, but now it seriously needs attention — cleanliness has taken a hit, and the general upkeep is lacking. Tables aren't always clean, the ambience feels dull, and the surroundings don't quite match the quality of the food being served.

The service is just okay, but it lacks warmth. One major issue is that customer attention seems inconsistent. Whether someone is placing a big order or a small one, every customer deserves equal respect and care. Sadly, that balance seems to be missing these days.

Worst restaurant with worst food (mutton biryani, mandi, grilled chicken and shawarma) especially shawarma, i got food infection after eating shawarma and i was admitted in hospital 4 days with vomiting and loose motions. I was one of 3 people who all got sick.The chicken and cucumber were smelly and the bread was cold. The management thinks what i posted was a false comment. The management should look after other reviews about their food with a hundreds of negative comments. There's nothing personal. After visiting 4 times to the shahi darbar restaurant with friends and placing multiple food order we were disappointed. Finally i have to post to let the management team improve their problems. I had visited the hotel and ordered Chicken Mandi for lunch. However, I was disappointed to find insects and cockroaches in my food. This experience has left me quite concerned about the hygiene standards at hotel.
