V Grand Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Andhra Pradesh

I was at ongole railway station with my family at 17.25 ; and my chennai train scheduled to arrive at 17.53 and depart by 17.55 .

I quickly checked in zomato and found this restaurant to have decent reviews . So I called the hotel to check the availability of chicken biryani take away , he politely confirmed it is available .

I took an auto and requested him to drive fast . He obliged and we reached the hotel by 17.37. . What surprised me was that the receptionist confirmed that whether I was the one who enquired on phone few mins ago . He told I have made your parcels ready to collect . I was pleasantly surprised , but in no mood to appreciate him as I am worried that I might miss my train . When I told him I have to rush back to station , he quickly went upstairs and brought my parcels . Within span of 5 minutes , I left the hotel with food parcels , I hv ordered two special chicken biryanis, paid 500rs for two parcels .

Reached station by 17.50 . Made it to station just in time , special thanks to auto driver . This restaurant is 3 kms away from station .

I just had the biryani . Coming to the food , one big bowl of nice Hyderabadi style biryani , chicken pieces with thick gravy given in a separate box. Biryani is excellent , I live in chennai for past 14 years . Comparing the price with food quality , taste and packing standard , and qty - I can tell this biryani very good , fully value for money , they have given gongura pickle in a separate pack , which tasted very well along with biryani , also the curd Ritha is fresh , tasted really good , overall I am happy with the purchase . Lastly , quality of parcel material , carry cover is very good . I don’t know if the hotel staff might read this or not , but I want to thank the person at reception desk .

Next time I will definitely dine in with sufficient time in hand . My wife also liked the food.

A great place to have fun while enjoying awesome food. The staff are respectful and cater to your specific needs. My only gripe was that the waiting time between the dishes was bit long than I anticipated.

I went along with my friends and family of 15 members. The seating was spacious with nice ambience. A bit more flair to the restaurant would be even better.

Coming to the food we ordered copious amounts. Fish and prawn biryani were excellent. Tandoori chicken, chicken 65, chicken 555 and mushroom 65 were good. Little spicy for some of us, but overall liked the dishes. Paneer butter masala was too sweet for our liking.

The big let down however were the mutton items. Mutton keema biryani and mutton curry were not good. Maybe it was the meat or how they were prepared the taste was kind of gamey. To wash down we ordered few milkshakes. They weren't any special, just your typical run of the mill shakes. But the ice creams were delightful.

Overall I would definitely recommend anyone visiting Ongole to try out Vgrand restaurant. It is on par with the restaurants you find in metro cities.

It used to be good, but from the past 4 to 5 months, it is the worst restaurant in ongole. No cleanliness at all ,the cutlery is full of oil, and they didn't wash those properly. When i visited this restaurant, i asked for a bowl of hot water, and i kept the spoon and fork in it, and i could see it full of oil floating in the water. Service is another worst thing about this restaurant and thise whose serve are not at all good. Service is not fast at all.

I think the staff and management of that restaurant changed. It used to be our hangout place, but not anymore.

No parking place also for our vehicles. Lift is too slow, and sometimes, it's out of order.

I visited too many times it's not possible to fetch all the bills but i can give you the amount i paid and date visted . I paid 1196 rs to Mr.Emala Ajay kumar on 20th April Saturday 2024 around 3 pm.
