I would want to be a little conservative in my appraisal of this place, unlike some of the other reviewers before me. First up: the service. It was way too slow. Unless called for, the waiters were slow to respond. Except for Hemant, the others looked confused and uncoordinated. Not for once did they ask if we (we were two) wanted the food to be served. It’s not always easy to serve certain food items on our own for which we may need a helping hand. Simply asking if the food was good just when your guest is about to leave cuts no ice. Also, I felt that manpower was not adequate vis-a-vis the operational efficiency of this restaurant.

Next: the food. Food was not bad, but it wasn’t stunningly delicious either. The chicken bruschetta we had was the only memorable item. Others, which included spaghetti aglio e olio and chicken thai curry (green) left us fairly disappointed.

Ambience: Day time ambience was good enough but given that it is a rooftop restaurant, I have the impression that it truly lights up to its best look only in the evenings. What was instead shocking to see was general hygiene levels in the washroom, toilet and also the floor of the restaurant. There were footwear imprints all over the place which certainly was an eyesore.

Verdict: Levitate needs to up its game to elevate itself from its current level of service. Maybe the glowing reviews have induced some complacency in the management. But to put it metaphorically—levitation is impossible...
