Had ordered black forest, butterscotch, mudslice and chocolate pastry through uber eats. The black forest and butterscotch were good but nothing exceptional. I have had better tasting pastries from Spring Valley and MB's in Tezpur.

Now the mudslice and chocolate pastry were stale and were giving out a foul smell. The pastries were atleast 3-4 days old and tasted sour. On informing the outlet about the stale product sent to us, the store had the audacity to say, and I quote- "we had sent over fresh pastries, the pastries must have got spoiled due to heat during transport and delivery by the uber eats guys". As if we cannot differentiate between a fresh pastry and pastry 4 days old.

Probably Guwahati do not have access to good bakeries and cake shops and people crowning the bakery chain as the best has gotten to their head. Instead of tendering an apology, they were just trying to give an absurd reason for their lack of quality.

This bakery chain has started taking customer for granted and are least bothered about maintaining...

• new review My recent experience with Loyan's chandmari outlet wasn't good. I bought a plain cake, but they billed me for the chocolate cake which was 30-40 higher price. The person in the counter was busy on his mobile, chatting loudly his family matters and not paying attention to customer. They later refunded my money back...and began to scold his staff very rudely.... although it was his own mistake. And the worst part....cake was not as good as it used to be!😢

*My old review One of the best place to buy a decent cake in Guwahati....500gms cake will cost you between Rs 450- 550. It's quite delicious. Home made style cakes also available...loved the banana cake. Breads and other savoury items like puffs, patties are also decent. Overall, I feel it's a safe bet to buy a cake...

Good quality pastries but also quite overpriced for the sizes they have to offer. Sitting accomodation is nice. It has a separate floor for that. The staff is very friendly too. I wouldn't recommend you to go for stuff other than pastries. The foods requiring to be heated in an oven aren't of the best quality as they are pre cooked. Breads and buns are also served here. Birthday cakes can be ordered with custom designs. Overall a very nice place nearby to enjoy a good cup of coffee with some pastries. The place is also well accessible being in the centre of chandmari area. You should definitely visit the place. Just wish the sizes of the pastries were...
