Mousumir Parampara, an extension of the renowned Mousumi Hotel in Tezpur, offers a premium dining experience that caters to those seeking exclusivity and refinement. Known for its elegant ambiance and expansive premises, the establishment sets itself apart as an ideal destination for special occasions or indulgent dining.

The spacious layout of Mousumir Parampara enhances its appeal, providing an environment that balances privacy with grandeur. The carefully curated decor reflects a blend of traditional Assamese aesthetics and modern sophistication, creating a unique atmosphere that resonates with its name, “Parampara,” which signifies tradition.

What truly distinguishes Mousumir Parampara is its menu. Featuring a selection of exclusive dishes that showcase local flavors with a contemporary twist, the culinary offerings are both diverse and exquisite. Guests can enjoy a range of delicacies that celebrate Assamese cuisine, as well as other regional and international dishes. Each dish is meticulously prepared, highlighting the commitment to quality and authenticity.

However, it is worth noting that the prices at Mousumir Parampara are relatively higher compared to the traditional Mousumi Hotel. The cost largely depends on the choice of dishes, with specialty items commanding a premium. While this may not appeal to budget-conscious diners, it is a fair trade-off for the upscale dining experience, exceptional service, and distinctive offerings provided.

Overall, Mousumir Parampara is a must-visit for those seeking an elevated culinary journey in Tezpur. While it caters to a niche audience, it excels in delivering an experience that seamlessly combines tradition, exclusivity, and sophistication. Whether for a celebration or a desire to indulge in fine dining, Mousumir Parampara is a standout addition to the Mousumi...

Mousumi Hotel – A Tale of Two Lunches

A couple of years ago, I had lunch at Mousumi Hotel while returning from an exam. Back then, the hotel was located on the left side if you were heading from Lakhimpur to Tezpur (or right side if it was the other way around—yes, directions and roads always seem to play tricks). I still remember that meal vividly—great taste, generous portions, and fast, friendly service. Everything about it was spot on. It was the kind of lunch that makes you loosen your belt and smile all the way home.

So naturally, I returned this time with high hopes—and with family.

But alas! Something was missing. The taste that once danced on my tongue had now decided to take a holiday. It wasn’t bad, but it just didn’t hit the same. Maybe it was nostalgia playing games, or maybe the chef decided to take it easy that day. The service, to be fair, was still good. Quick and polite staff, no complaints there.

Now, let’s talk about the location—and here’s the twist. The new location is much better than before. Big space, nice decor, and a huge parking area where your car can breathe and stretch while you do the same. It’s the perfect place to eat and chill, especially after a long road trip or a busy day.

So, here’s the bottom line: If you’ve never been before, you’ll probably like it. But if you, like me, are chasing the ghost of a perfect meal from two years ago, be warned—it might not taste quite the same. Still, a solid pit stop, with good service, nice ambiance, and a relaxing vibe. Just don’t bring too much nostalgia...

If you usually have your meal at home most of the time then don't visit this hotel. It is most crouded and feels like a slum area. Everywhere shouting and howling. No proper infrastructure . It feels like having food on a public function . And we wait for seat to be free and the dice collecting workers are always in a rush if you just slightly standup from your table, they will collect the dice immediately without even asking you. The hotel is always in a rush after completing the meal you could even seat their for 2minute . And the hotel so narrow and compact that you can't even move freely. I don't know why the hotel is so much in rush, the quality of food is also not so special it as usual. And the price is also a bit over price then usual. According to me this hotel is not suitable for having meal. It was a disgusting experience for me. I feel like I offered the shopkeeper money with no goods. And even I couldn't have my meal properly since I had made a mistake of standing up on the bens and the dice collecting workers collect my dice immediately and it all wiped away. I would never visit this hotel...

This is an open dhaba with flavours of home food. The thaali is about Rs80 and the serving and variety is good(picture attached). They initially give thaali, with minimum things and then further food items are served as per your choice. You can have as much food as you want. Its delicious and the place is hygienic, except the wash area, which seemed tad bit untidy. They serve duck, mutton and chicken in non veg plates [Rs 150/half plate].

Food is costly Af . The place is very well maintained and well decorated. Staff is also very well behaved. Coming to the food quality which is quite good we have tried mutton and jeera rice there mutton kosha tastes fab but the main issue i have found is there is no thali system there all the things have to be ordered separately which is disappointing as the name suggest parampara there should be a traditional Assamese thali ..
