Prabhuji Pure Food Guwahati — Restaurant in Assam

Place should have at most 3.5 stars. I don't understand how this has 4.2 avg (at the time of writing this).

I was super excited and walked in for the nostalgia of eating at Haldiram's Delhi outlets. But Haldiram Prabhuji outlets (or at the very least this particular outlet) seems very different and utterly disappointing if you are someone who has eaten at and is used to of the main Haldiram outlets.

For me, eating at Haldiram is all about that thick and dense yoghurt that that put in copious amount on their chat items and more. Here unfortunately, the yoghurt is extremely watered down is used very sparingly. On top of that, my other favorite of Haldiram is their Chole Bhature, but here (i feel) they added too much baking soda in the Bhature to the point you could taste the bitterness. The Chole also looked extremely unappetising and tasted stale.

Moreover their customer service is almost non existent. The outlet is at a prime location, and is spacious and all, but then there's service issues like - finding tissue papers. You will have to go to multiple people and ask repeatedly and then maybe you will get one. Moreover, I went there with a friend and we both ordered the same food. My plate had some onions and a lemon slice while his didn't. On the flip side, his plate came with a small pack of pickle while mine didn't. Their staff definitely needs some customer service training, as while they were all extremely polite, they seemed new at this and were visibly confused when multiple people came up at the counter with their order slips in hand.

Their only positives are affordable prices, (presumably) clean vegetarian food and good location. Overall, I will not visit any Haldiram Prabhuji outlets unless I have no other choice.

3 ⭐ Place was neat and clean. One side of sitting aile is completely drenched in AC water and I happened to seat there . Which was awful experience for me. There was no sign for wet floor or don't seat here . MRP comes with extra GST. Only few Assamese employees were hired rest are hindi speaking. I felt distraught as I had to face communication barrier in my own land. Prices of cooked food items are ecstatic however prices of mithais are Bapaaoooii.. Hope more items are available on mithai menu and food menu and who so ever is the owner Employees Assamese people over hindi speaking ones. Previously i gave this place 5 stars but today morning around 8:30 am, i had cravings of trying Puri sabji and i googled the opening hours of Prabhuji, i saw it opens at 8 am so i thought they will be serving atleast something hot to eat. But when i went and saw then there was "NO MANAGER, NO CHEF, NO STAFF TO SERVE FOOD" , There was just this one aged person wiping the floor rest the place was empty.
