A Homestyle Haven in the Heart of the City
If you’re anywhere near the area and craving authentic, soul-satisfying Punjabi fare, Bobby’s Punjabi Dhaba is not just an option—it’s a necessity. A true gem in a neighborhood short on great Indian food, this place serves up comforting, flavor-packed dishes that feel like they’ve come straight from a Punjabi home kitchen.
Let’s start with the Parathas—arguably some of the best you’ll find outside of North India. Whether it’s the classic Aloo Paratha or one of their many variations, each is generously stuffed, perfectly crisped on the outside, and served piping hot. I’ve made multiple visits, and the consistency in quality has impressed me every time.
Their Rajma Chawal deserves a special mention—not your usual run-of-the-mill version, but one with a unique twist in flavor that’s both nostalgic and refreshing. The Baingan da Bharta, my personal favorite, is smoky, well-spiced, and cooked with a finesse that’s rare to find even in more upscale Indian restaurants.
Other menu highlights include Kadhi Pakoda, Dal Makhani, and Channa Masala, all staples that are anything but ordinary here. Each curry is distinct, well-balanced, and true to traditional flavors without being overly greasy or heavy.
And then there’s the Patiala Lassi—a showstopper. Served in a massive brass tumbler, this rich, creamy yogurt drink is as much an experience as it is a beverage. It’s indulgent, sweet, and often best shared. For lighter appetites, they also offer Delhi and Bangalore-sized versions.
Despite being a popular spot, especially on weekends, Bobby’s handles the crowd with impressive efficiency. The service is quick, courteous, and organized—qualities that elevate the overall experience beyond just great food.
In short, Bobby’s Punjabi Dhaba is a lifesaver for anyone seeking hearty, flavorful, and authentic North Indian food. Whether you’re a homesick student or a curious foodie, this place is well worth the visit (and the wait).

Read moreNot worth the hype it has at all. Dont be fooled by the huge crowd you would see, this place see low to mediocre food. First off, we have to wait for 1 hr to even get a seat and after that another half hr for the food. We have to write our own orders and the menu doest even hv prices. We had ordered: 3 lassi, 1 paneer paratha, 1 paneer bhurji, 1 Makke di roti with sarso da saag and 2 gulab jamun. Total cost:1080/- The jamuns were yum, lassi mediocre. Paneer bhurji was quite good as well but lesser quantity. Same with sarso ka saag. Now the makke di roti was not that great. It was not cooked properly and loaded with nutella. Not even actual butter. And even cooked in some palm oil and not ghee. Similarly the paratha was bad, loaded with nutella making it salty and very thin. I mistook it for roti actually. The paratha had some raw spots and too less fillings. First off the fact it didnt have actual butter and ghee but had nutella and some random oil really put me off. Like how are they so famous selling punjabi food with such low quality material and high prices. And then raw food? Its understandable that it is quite Rushed with a small place and less workers and large crowd, but that doesnt justify that they can sell raw food after making us wait for so long. The management of the whole place is very weak and they seriously cant handle large crowds. Even the owner is quite rude with his helpers and legit shouting the orders at his chefs. It may seem ok at the start but later while eating its honestly very...
