I had a nice dinner with my family. We tried here idly with fish gravy and varieties of fish fry. In addition to this they are providing coconut chutney as well. Idly was soft and the fish gravy tasted good. They served 1 plate idly (4 no.s) with fish gravy but they charged for idly only. If you are searching for budget friendly food then this mess is a good choice for bachelors and family too. Since it is a new mess they have given a complimentary crab soup for us. The ambience was nice. It's a typical tamilnadu style authentic cuisine but everyone loves the taste. I hope they will add a few more items in future. Lunch Menu: Sea food Meal (rice, fish kulambu, nandu rasam, fish fry, prawn fry, dry fish thokku) Dinner Menu: Idly with fish gravy, coconut chutney, varieties of fish fry and kabab.

Price is very nominal 1 plate idly is Rs:50 which has 4 idlies n fish curry .They also have various varieties of sea fish for fries . Worth trying . Outlet is very small but neat.

Food is outstanding here. We ordered fish fry meals, prawn kabab, black pomfret fry, roopchand fry, fish kabab, and all of them are super tasty. Crab rasam is very good. The service is impeccable, they attend to us so well. Don't miss trying out mutton chukka here(one of the best dish other than seafood). We had a heartwarming meal as a family. They maintain the place also very neat. Price is also very reasonable.

I had visited this place after reading all the reviews about idly fish curry and the following are my views: The food tasted really good, but the quantity was ridiculously less for the amount. The amount of fish curry given along with the idly fish curry combo was like a small amount of achaar (pickle)... Also I had Rice fish curry combo in which I had received Rice, a little bit of fish curry and Crab soup... Once again, the quantity was very low... If they can improve it, it'll be a really great spot!

The restaurant is located in Begur - Koppa road opposite to Idly day restaurant and petrol bunk...

If quantity doesn't matter and you just wanna taste some good fish curry and idly, you can definitely pay...

Rathinasabapathy , Bangalore Chandra Mess is a new food outlet near prestige song of south in Begur. I am 76 years old.My health doesn't allow me to visit the mess.So today(19/3/24) I ordered online for one White Pomfret (Tava fry) and requested the owner of the mess to send the same to my residence.It was sent to my address within 40 minutes. The fish fry was very tasty. On 13/3/24 I ordered for two Sankara fish pieces."Buy two and get one for free"is the policy of Chandra Mess.So three pieces were sent to my address.It was yummy. The price is also reasonable (not high) So I strongly recommend...
