Secret Hidden Restaurant

A chance find this joint, surely one wl enjoy the place since it's not loaded with lot of crowd in the afternoon. Besides the Rachenahalli Lake....But u can ve a glimpse of the lake from this place ...It's a nice setting .. Good for a lunch date without a doubt....... Coming back to food, it's quite elaborate depending on ur tastebuds.....Burgers, Pizzas, Continental and the kind..... The menu is really impressive and any copy writer working on advertisements, wl fumble and gaze at some of the names these people ve come up with, a sample for you, Blind Side, Badly Behaved, Pretty Ugly, Loosely sealed and more was really appealing........ Going back to the food front, ordered for a roasted pumpkin soup, the colour was appealing, mild yellowish, with spices, rosemary and foraccia, roasted pumpkin seeds a drizzle of basil oil, end result a beautiful aroma wafting thru every sip.....surely a must try. Vietnam Rice paper Roll, a starter, the looks were different, it was stuffed with 🍄 mushroom, raw papaya salad and served with a tangy sauce. Another starter Lamb skewers which had mixed spices in it was served with Harrissa Tum sauce, garlic oil and came with Peta bread .Main course plumped for the Thai green curry with vegetables, that was served with a portion of steamed rice, mixed vegetables and cucumber.. The dessert was the Cheese cake, atop with some gratings and pudina, just melted in the mouth every bite ...... Heavenly...

I’m sharing this as a genuine and honest review to help others make informed choices.

I visited this restaurant after seeing some good photos online, but the experience was extremely disappointing, especially in terms of pricing and value for money.

Overpriced Items (With Proof): One of the biggest shocks was the pricing. I purchased a 750 ml bottle of Jacob’s wine, which typically costs around ₹1300 in the market. However, the restaurant charged a whopping ₹3680 for the same bottle — nearly three times more. This level of markup is completely unreasonable, and when we questioned it, the owner refused to reconsider or offer any explanation or reduction.

(Photo proof attached for reference)

Not Worth the Expense: If you’re someone who values your money and wants a fair dining experience, this is not the place to be. The value for what you pay is extremely poor.

Misleading Expectations: • The place is very small, definitely not what it looks like in the photos. • There is no proper lake view, which was one of the main attractions that led me to choose this place. • The menu is limited, lacking variety in dishes.

I’ve visited several restaurants in the past, and even high-end places don’t charge three times the retail price of a product. This felt like a complete rip-off.

So please, if you don’t want to waste your money and want your experience to be worth it, I strongly recommend skipping...

This is a hidden gem next to Rachnahalli Lake with barely any view of the lake due to rising surrounding greens.

But the place is earthen, rustic, dining with greens kind of ambience with all aspects of a fine dining experience. The washroom was super clean.

Large parking of 8-10 cars is an added advantage. Not so much for wheel chair friendly due to uneven surfaces but food finesse with taste is of different order. They ensure it's served warm with loads of visual appeal cooked fresh but their Tamil chef absolutely produces edible gems from the kitchen.

Restaurant Manager Mr Mohan is a jobless smiling personality and so is the rest of the serving staff.

Be cautious of the Google location as it directs into an adjacent lane inside a society while the real restaurant is on a dead end in a parallel lane with a left and right towards the dead end.

In food and arrangements we had a group celebration with a large 20+gathering where the only thing of improvement is their speed of serving where while it is made fresh and hot it becomes difficult to convince all members of the group the reasons for delay. Veg Burgers are awesome so is a double brownie with ice-cream. Thai curry with Jasmine rice was perfect with a lovely fragrance. The highlight was the Broccoli as starters along with melting garlic bread. Overall a must go restaurant with yummilicious...

Pros • Beautiful Ambience: The outdoor seating is surrounded by lush green plants and bathed in natural light, creating a relaxing and peaceful setting. The table arrangements add to the charm and make for a pleasant dining experience, especially if you enjoy being close to nature. Cons • Disappointing Mushroom Pizza: The mushroom pizza was a letdown. When served, the pizza was extremely watery—apparently from the mushrooms—which soaked the entire base and made it very unappetizing. I have never seen a pizza presented this way anywhere else. It looked and tasted so unappealing that it genuinely made me reconsider eating it after the first bite. Definitely one of the worst pizza experiences I’ve had. • Questionable Value: I also ordered the Aglio e Olio pasta (priced at ₹390), and for that price, the portion size did not feel justified. The quantity was less than expected, especially considering the cost. Overall Impression While the setting and environment are wonderful and offer a unique outdoor dining experience, the food quality—particularly the mushroom pizza—and the portion-for-price ratio left a lot to be desired. I sincerely hope the kitchen addresses the issues with the pizza, as it significantly impacted my visit. Would recommend only for the ambience, but be wary of the food quality and serving sizes.

Avoid during the Weekends One might think the ambience is quite big and spacious, but there were only 5 to 6 tables available. And when we reached there was a wait time which we honestly didn’t mind. But the only let down was a huge party gathered next to us for a birthday party, we had assumed that the spaces were separate, but it was too close for comfort with the regular diners Once settled we ordered a cold coffee, a pizza, garlic bread and peri peri fries. Both the Garlic Bread and Pizza were quite good, especially the pizza, but the cold coffee was served at the end of all the dishes. There was no canopy over our seating, and no table cloth and other necessities, when requested were placed shabbily. The Service was quite horrible. Everyone seemed really dazzled and not sure of what they were doing. Took them 25 minutes just to give the bill. Overall wouldn’t come again as it is too much of a hassle to put up with
