Read moreWe had ordered food from Oziano which we liked and decided to visit the place. While the food was still good as usual, everything else was a disaster. The rating 3.9 is entirely because of the food I assume.
We went there on a Sunday and the location of this place is not only hard to find but reminds of the village stories of Bengal I used to hear during childhood. The road is nearly impossible to go through (thank God it wasn't raining) and the whole place is dark and unlit. You would have to be very careful while driving.
At 750pm we reached and surprisingly the place was full. After waiting for 10 mins we opened our menu (via qr scan) only to find that dining menu is miles apart from zomato/Swiggy order menu. We clarified with the staff and they confirmed that the menus are different. Which basically means that if you look at the Zomato/Swiggy menu, prepare to be disappointed as half the items are missing.
The app menu via qr scan is also buggy, once you order if you check your order status you get an error. You have to confirm with management of your order has gone through.
Also before 8 pm mutton items were over. Only chicken biryani, thalis and a few side dish/ snack items were available. By 9pm almost all items were over, and yet they claim to be open till 1130pm. I wonder what they serve on the menu after 10??
Insufficient staff ( I counted only 3 members attending to the tables in total). Inadequate seating (by the end they were seating random people together due to lack of seating capacity). Ineffective customer service (but I understand.. how many guests can 3 people handle?)
In conclusion, you should definitely try the food here. Good food at very reasonable prices. One should definitely order from here. But if you live far or plan to dine on a weekend, expect a side of disappointment with every order so bring your patience as a carry on. If you still plan on dining here, come at 6pm. Hopefully you may get more food...
Read moreDo NOT ruin your nobo borsho dinner by coming here. We'd booked via Easydiner and gone, and after reaching on time, here's what went down - Service is TERRIBLE. The waiter couldn't get our order right even after being instructed multiple times. He dropped our soft drinks and then told us he couldn't serve us because those were the last bottles left. This is after him getting the order wrong 4 times. Appalling. Food was served 1.5 hours later. People who came after us were served earlier & online orders were prioritised. This is because they got confused with our order and served our order to another table. It is SUPREMELY HOT inside. There's no AC, no ventilation, and no ceiling fans. Only a couple of standing fans that don't really help if you're more than 4 people at a table. The lead waiter was rude and arrogant to us once we called out that he served our food to others and made us wait 1.5 hours. If you're ordering a thala, be ready to curate your own stuff. They have no idea what each thala consists of, and simply put bowls in front of you. You must now solve this jigsaw Puzzle and figure out which food has come with which thala order. Again, do not ruin your nobo borsho dinner by coming here. I would've excused everything else had the food served in the end was good, and not cold and miserable. By the way, if you're wondering, no - the restaurant wasn't operating at full capacity. It wasn't even half full when we went - imagine how bad things are going to get on nobo borsho when the crowd actually comes in. Save yourself the effort of going here. It's just terrible. I could have cooked my Bengali meal at home and done a better job. Not worth paying so...
