We had one of the worst experiences in recent times in this hotel and the one excuse the supervisor, some other guy used was that it is a general holiday (01-Nov) and they are short staffed. We have been ordering online from this hotel and the food quality, quantity is decent in fact better than the previous hotel we used to order for a long time. Post covid like everyone else the old place started to make profit their main goal and slipped on quality and reduced quantity to shameful levels. Anyhow, when we went to this place it was crowded but we could find a table for 3 folks pretty quickly. The order was taken by some guy and then some other guy started bringing them to our table. We ordered simple North meals/South Meals / one starter and Fried Rice as we went for lunch and thought wait could be max 15min as lunches are cooked earlier with only roti/puri being made at that time of order. The waiter was so rude and illiterate that he assumed since we ordered starter he will not bring the lunch order for me and my wife. I had to remind him after waiting 15min that he can bring the lunch order and starter was for my kid. Then after 10min lunch is brought for me and wife. Starter follows. Food quality is fine. All good till now. Since my kid too was hungry like us and finished the starter pretty quickly as quantity was less only, he waited for his fried rice order. Now we came into the hotel around 1.45pm and got our meals on table after 15-20min. Fried rice came at 2.20pm and it was undercooked, dry and very raw. Just by looking at it seemed undercooked. While waiting for this raw rice not fried rice just when I reminded that rude full entitled guy called waiter, he has the audacity to tell me don’t you know it takes time to cook fried rice. I told him I know but certainly does not take 40min to cook fried rice. Because we have ordered same dish from home many times and it was delivered to our home within 30min but takes 40+min in the hotel is the most intriguing part. Anyways, we called the waiter told him, called the supervisor made him taste it and he took the bowl and went in kitchen to show it to cook. By that time anyways my kid was so hungry he had eaten almost half of it. They came back and offered to remove the price of fried rice but by then I had already made the full payment and even I was not happy about not paying since we had eaten it anyways. All in all , I notice many good reviews and many ppl in the hotel being served and them being happy about service but just this one rude AH of a guy who waited our table ruined our experience so much that we instantly decided to never return here. Now we may still continue to order online because their quality and quantity don't seem to have been compromised yet. Until then, this is our exp and opinion that when you go there do ask your waiter’s name and if it is Mr. Suresh, PLS REFUSE to get Served by him. By far the most rude and unprofessional waiter I have come across in my life. Hope this helps someone else avoid a bad exp at this place. One more thing, had to do circus to get car out as it was blocked by delivery van who refused to move until he done delivering his items to hotel. Overall...

Paakashala is located next to Yelchanhalli Metro station and it is easily visible from moving vehicle, they have ample parking for two and four wheelers.

Safety is one of main aspect post this covid era and Paakashala has ensured all safety measures are followed diligently by staff and as well as the customers.

We had heard a lot about Baale Yele Oota which is served only for Lunch on Saturday and Sunday.

Baale Yele Oota is nothing but Banana Leaf Meal which is the traditional way of eating food in South India.

Food served on the banana leaves absorbs the polyphenols which are said to prevent many lifestyle diseases. They are also said to have anti-bacterial properties that can possibly kill the germs in food.

They have carefully crafted this menu to give the best experience of southern states of Karnataka, Tamilnadu and Kerala, this spread consist of 24 traditional specialities from the southern three states which includes Appam & stew, Akki roti with pineapple gojju, Bisibelebath, Majige Huli, Kai Holige, Hayagreev, and so much more. And interesting thing is everything is unlimited.

This is good for large group and families to relish the rich South Indian food and many items on the menu was first for me, so it's a definately a yes for people who love unlimited buffet and want to have some lips smacking vegetarian Meals.

They have open kitchen and live counters which fortifies the trust on Hygiene, safety and quality of food served here.

The overall experience was wonderful, everything was amazing, cooked to its perfection, and served hot.

It's a must visit place for all the food lovers to relish South...

We had been here for my fathers b'day along with family after doing so much of search on the net for restaurants (with good reviews) with south Indian (especially for my elderly parents & in-law) and other cuisines. 5 of us ordered doses, rave dose, rave onion dose, rave masale dose, set dose and onion dose. None of them were tasty nor soft. Rave dosaes were so thin and roasted and were like papads which weren't able to consume. They hardly could eat half. Even set dose was hard and same with onion dose. Even chutney was little spoilt. Ordered single idly for my in-law which they complemented but unfortunately it was hard with tasteless sambar. Paneer paratha ordered came with hair in it which they replaced. Gobi manchurian, masala papad, veg noodles, paneer paratha, aloo paratha and paneer fried rice were tasty and good. Tomato soup was ok. Mushroom pepper dry was tasteless and came with more small cut onion, chilli & curry leaves. Didn't tasted like a mushroom. Experiencing the quality of the food, we didn't order any juices/shakes which we intended to (Later had it at a juice joint near home & saved 3/4th the cost we would have ended up here). Finally when bill came and confronted about the quality, they reduced ~₹280 stating they can't further reduce as the bill was generated and couldn't reverse. Service is also bit slow and had to ask them to clean up the table everytime we were done. We have been to their branches in RR nagar & near NPS poornapragna lyt which were very good. Do not recommend south Indian food here. Also recommend to look for other...

Worst ever restaurant experience. Extremely disappointed. Visited on 20th July at 3:47 PM, and I must say this place redefined what “poor service” means. Right from the start, it was chaos disguised as hospitality. We were told by Mr. Kamath, a staff member, that the AC service hall is not operating and not taking orders there, and we were asked to sit in the normal hall. Fine. But after sitting down, not a single person bothered to attend to us for 17 minutes. Not even a glass of water. When a waiter finally showed up, we tried ordering North Indian dishes. Guess what? He casually said "Time over, we don't accept North Indian orders after 4 PM" at the guest who walked into the restaurant and misguided at 3:47 PM, mind you! Basic time management and communication were clearly alien concepts here. To salvage the situation, we tried South Indian and other dishes: Set Dosa, Open Butter Masala, Palak Kichdi, Bhel Puri, Mango Milkshake, Baby Corn Manchurian, Roasted Masala Papad — only to be told again that "this order was denied by someone else and should not have reached you." Seriously? What sort of mismanaged circus is this? This entire disaster falls squarely on Mr. Kamath's mismanagement and the hotel's inability to run a basic restaurant floor. No coordination. No accountability. Zero hospitality. A shame on the Paakashala brand. Absolutely not recommended. If you're looking for good food and basic courtesy, avoid this place at all costs.

Baale Yele Oota at Paakashala, Yechanahalli brings together tradition and the love of food. They have introduced the Baale Yele Oota or the Banana leaf meal. A celebration of the flavours and cultures of the South, it is a scrumptious, wholesome lunch, available on the weekends (Saturday & Sunday only) at Paakashala Yelchanahalli only. The spread comprises over 24 specialities from the southern states of Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, including Appam & stew, Akki roti with pineapple gojju, Bisibelebath, Majige Huli, Kai Holige, Hayagreev, and so much more. Served with all safety protocols on place the meal leaves you delighted and satiated, yet wanting more! It's safe to do reservation and then go. Dropped down to this place on a Sunday afternoon and nothing feels better than this. I am a North Indian, but an ardent fan of South Indian food and the cuisines served here made me fall in love with it all over again. They serve you food in the most traditional way which is an exhilarating experience altogether. #paakashala #baaleyeleoota #southindianfood #loveforfood #bangalorefoodies #foodbloggers #bangalorefoodbloggers #foodiesforlife #foodiesofinstagram
