Bangalore is home to countless tea shops, including premium spots like Tea Leaf & Coffee Bean and Chai Point, but nothing compares to Savera Tea. It holds a special charm that makes it stand out.
Back in the day, a group of friends and I used to frequent Shivaji Nagar every couple of weeks for their famous beef kebabs made with ox meat. No visit was complete without ending the meal at Savera Tea—it was a tradition.
If you’re an early bird, don’t miss their Milk Tea, made from pure ox milk. The rich, creamy flavor is simply divine, and it’s a steal at just 15 INR (it used to be 10 INR in 2018, but inflation has caught up).
What makes Savera even more special is the warm service—the staff always greets you with a smile. Like many small businesses, it faced tough times during the COVID-19 pandemic but has remained a local favorite.
While you’re there, try their aloo samosas—they’re a treat. The area around Savera is packed with great restaurants offering Haleem and kebabs, especially during Eid when the streets come alive with crowds.
Savera Tea holds a nostalgic place in my heart. I’ve loved every visit and can’t wait to enjoy their chai again...

We were not disappointed.
The tea (made Indian style) was just right. The proof of this is that I had two glasses, something that I never do.
There is no seating. You order and pay. Then you wait for a minute or so for your tea and drink it standing on the sidewalk/footpath.
It’s always crowded but there is very little wait time.
