Feedback on Poor Experience at Nachiyar Cafe, RR Nagar
Dear Nachiyar Cafe Management,
I am writing to share a disappointing experience I had at your RR Nagar branch. I ordered a parcel of two plates of Pongal and Vada and decided to have a coffee while waiting. Despite being given the parcel slip at the counter, I waited for nearly 25 minutes amidst a crowded parcel counter.
The situation was quite chaotic, with walk-in customers and delivery personnel from Swiggy and Zomato all in the same queue. There was no clear indication of order prioritization, and it appeared that online orders were being given preference due to time SLA commitments. This left many walk-in customers, including myself, in a frustrating and embarrassing situation, repeatedly asking when our tokens would be fulfilled.
After losing my patience, I approached the billing counter and angrily demanded a refund, later ordered same food with higher cost , I got in 18 mins .
I felt compelled to write this feedback to urge the management to address this issue seriously.
Here are a few suggestions for improvement:
Separate Counters: Create distinct counters for online orders and walk-in customers to streamline the process. Order Visibility: Implement a system to display the progress of token processing so customers can see the status of their orders. Staff Training: Ensure staff are trained to manage high-demand situations efficiently and courteously.
These measures will help improve the overall customer experience and retain your customer base in the long run. Despite my initial frustration, I still ordered the same food via Swiggy from the same spot, indicating the quality of your food is appreciated, but the service needs significant improvement.
Thank you for taking the time to read my feedback. I hope to see positive changes in...
Read moreWe recently visited this restaurant with the expectation of enjoying some authentic Tamil Nadu-style breakfast and meals, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing on several levels.
To begin with, we ordered idly, assuming it would be the traditional soft, steamed rice idly that Tamil Nadu is well-known for. However, what was served was "rava idly" instead a semolina-based version that we did not expect or request.
The texture were nowhere close to the traditional rice idly we had hoped for.
The chutneys served alongside the idly were equally disappointing. Typically, South Indian chutneys are bursting with flavor coconut chutney, mint chutney, tomato chutney, etc., should have a fresh, rich taste.
Sadly, the chutney here lacked flavor entirely, tasting bland and unseasoned. It felt like they had been prepared in a hurry, with no attention to taste or quality.
We also tried the rice and sambar combination, which was served with a papad. Surprisingly, there were no vegetables provided as a side, which is unusual for a South Indian meal. A proper meal plate usually includes some vegetable curries or poriyal, making the meal feel more complete and balanced. The sambar was mediocre, lacking depth in flavor, and the absence of vegetables made the meal feel very incomplete.
As for the pulav, the quantity served was extremely small compared to the price charged. We expected a decent portion, but what we got could hardly satisfy even one person.
Finally, the carrot halwa was the most overpriced item on the menu. The portion was incredibly small, and the taste was average at best. Overall, we felt that the pricing was unjustified for the quality and quantity of food served. A very...
Read moreThis is a self serving darshini located in RR Nagar, Bengaluru. This darshini has a flavour of Bengaluru and Tamilnadu foods. The Sambar typically is like the one prepared in TN but dosa is Bengaluru style. This has wide variety of options typically suits everyone's requirements based on the timing of the day. Tasted couple of items like Idly, Masala Dosa, Onion Dosa and Shavige bath. All these items were good. The Shavige bath was little spicy, may be the general public like that way. The only waiting time is for dosa as majority of the public prefer Dosa here for the breakfast. However due to the space constrained, this place looks crowded. Also the serving staff are quite less as they do not have backfill if employees go on leave. They mange the show with little difficulty as the do not wanna lose its customer base. Also tried carrot halwa popularly known as gajar ka halwa. This was good but not extraordinary. I didn't feel that cova was added but relished it's taste at every bite. As this located very close to the traffic signal, sometimes it the way gets blocked. Customers should be watchful about this. There is place for parking but sometimes it gets full. A good place to try if you are in and around this place. The mgt should focus more on faster service and introducing Bengaluru...
