A regretful experience honestly, please do notice other 4 star reviews 50% of them have not mentioned anything about food the other 50% have said food not up to the mark or mediocre or just ok still they've provided with 4 star rating (a restaurant review should focus on food and service, not everything is just about ambiance and USP: unique selling point).
Coming to the review: We went during lunch time on a weekend so there was rush and we expected a waiting time which was there and honestly nothing bad about it.
1st thing we noticed once we moved past the fascination of food being served by model trains was the menu and the price. For a restaurant which is this well established to have a franchise running, the menu was a mere pamplet 😐 which was not even laminated, I've seen smaller scale restaurant with better menu presentation in leather jacket etc but here not even a laminated menu. And then there was the price, average price of vegetarian items was 300rs and 350 for a non-veg dish which seems ok for a good restaurant with a USP and an ambience but once you see the proportion you'll soon regret the price(serving size is same if not smaller than that of a chat-cafe ex Big Bite in BHEL layout RR Nagar), also a whooping 80rs+taxes for 1 phulka!!!
We ordered 3 Vegetarian items: Baby Corn 65, Veg Manchurian and French Fries. Baby corn 65 was so bad that we couldn't finish it, it tasted like it. was coated with corn flour and tossed in chutney pudi. Veg Manchurian was mere balls of dough, hardly 1% veggies in them(pics attached). French Fries were just OK but again for 300Rs you can get 400-600gm frozen fries.
We ordered 1 non-veg item Chicken Chilli, it has the same coating as the Baby Corn 65 and no capsicum or onion or the soy sauce gravy these pieces should have been in. They just sent 2 long dry red chillis along with it and called it Chicken Chilli.
We ordered 2 Milkshakes: Oreo Milkshake and Belgian Chocolate Milkshake. Both of them had the same base consisting of a blend of chocolate ice cream and milk. The only distinguishing factor was Oreo milkshake had half oreo on top and Belgian Chocolate Milkshake had Cadbury drinking chocolate powder sprinkled on top. Oreo milkshake didn't have crushed/blended biscuit chunks that gives it a unique texture and there was 0% Belgian Chocolate in the Belgian Chocolate Milkshake, I absolutely love Belgian Chocolate and can point out a regular chocolate vs a Belgian Chocolate.
Overall a very regretful experience as anyone can let go if 1 dish was not up to the mark but everything was bad, I would not even call it mid, calling it mid would be a praise for the food we had, would not recommend anyone because of the food, high cost can still be justified if the food is on that level but unfortunately it was not and would recommend Watering Hole or Full Circle as they serve the food that deserves that price (P.S. cost...

Visited the RR nagar branch after previously having a decent food experience at the Bannerghatta branch ,but unfortunately it was a complete disappointment and a pathetic experience. We ordered starters -Chicken Drumstics(369+tax) and Prawns Rayal vepudu dry(379+tax) which was suggested by the service captain as a good option and would be spicy as well. The Prawns starter was literally served ice cold and had zero flavour to it. When asked about it to the captain, he mentioned it takes time for the trains to deliver the food after preparation and the dish has gone cold in the process. Despite the reasoning sounding absolutely stupid,we did not want to create a fuss. The Chicken Lolipop(5pc) out of which 4pcs were undercooked and still had the batter stuck all over it. When questioned about it,the service captain said he could only offer to change the dish. We waited for 20-25mins almost for the replacement and later cancelled it as it was getting really frustrating. We ordered Mushroom Babycorn masala(289+tax) and Butter tandoori roti 4pc(356+tax) which was comically expensive and not upto the mark. I am sure we would have gotten a better tasting dish at a road side fast food joint. We also ordered Prawns Biryani(379+tax) which tasted absolutely bland and flavourless. Cold water was not available as well. The waiters serving do not understand local language and barely understand English as well. The Manager Mr.Raghav gave us a 10 percent discount and did not charge us for the prawns starter after a intense frustrating conversation with him. Overall it was one of the worst recent dining experiences I have had. Surely will never be visiting Platform 65 again and would never suggest it to anyone. This place is an absolute joke and uses the toy train delivery as its USP and it's grand looking ambience to rip customers of their money. Do not visit.
