And eat we did ..
What a wonderful and enjoyable Sunday lunch we had at Hearth A newly opened all vegetarian affair the place offers a myriad of menu options to choose from. We tried a lot of things and the lunch lasted for about two hours .. phew … here is the list
Falafel pockets —- yummy pita pockets with delightful hummus and fresh cut veggies .. .. the size was good and the pita was not stretch and dense
The red chutney— this one deserved a special mention for being just the right amount of spicy and tangy and we ate it more than snacks.
Aloo nazakat— tandoori aloo with a filling of mawa and heavy hint of mustard and dil which I loved. The aloo was nicely baked and charred to perfection.
Dahi ke sholay — my favourite with the tangy filling and tutti fruity and balanced spices . It was loved by all and I had extra helpings.
Mocktails : we had two of their speciality drinks Strawberry coconut and Gauva chilli .. I liked the gauva chilli best because I am not found of coconut in my drinks .. both were very refreshing.
Thai curry and rice : a good blend of curry and veggies .. the veggies were nicely cooked and gravy perfectly seasoned . Though the rice lacked the punch but the curry made up for it. I even ate the curry with my naan.
Paneer roulette : a very innovative dish of paneer stuffed paneer roll with a special gravy which was yummmy.
Pasta of mix sauce : it was baked with cheese and did not have a runny gravy which I liked. It was tangy and had the right taste of spicy for the afternoon mood.
The breads : we got wheat floor rotis and one of the best laccha parathas till day. Naans are of course my comfort meal.
Russian salad: very refreshing and I liked the less tangy pineapple and veggie combo
We also had two types of paneer and custard for desserts and stuffed mushrooms
