UTTERLY BAD EXPERIENCE

Considering the Big cup café brand value, we assumed that the experience at this joint will be a one to remember on Valentine's day 2021. However it turned to be a BITTER and BAD EXPERIENCE !

WE ORDERED FOR 6 ITEMS AND WAITED FOR 1 HOUR ! WE COULD NOT UNDERSTAND WHY THERE WAS A DELAY. MEANWHILE WHEN WE ASKED THE SERVER WHATS CAUSING SO MUCH DELAY, HE USED TO CITE VARIOUS REASONS REGULARLY - SOMETIMES "ITS CROWDED TODAY SIR !" AND SOMETIMES "WE HAVE A SMALL KITCHEN SIR !". Seriously !! After an hour long wait, we expected we will get Soup first instead he served us 1 Starter item and said we are preparing the others. After 10 mins, I literally walked up to the Kitchen counter and asked him how much more time for the others and he mentioned the next item is ready but he is not sure about the other 4 items. We were really irritated by this time and instructed the server to just stop serving our orders. We told him to give us our bill for 2 items only and we will make a move. We needed to find a place where we can get something to eat while we were feeling hungry. Instead of giving the bill, he serves us previously ordered 2 drinks. Believe me the drinks or frappes you get at Ram Mandir Food street are 100% better compared to Big Cup Café ones. So we finally paid for 4 items and left the place for good that night. To add, there were 2 other couples who followed us to the bill counter and also requested to cancel their orders that night because of similar experience.

Highlights: a) Café Management focused on ambience and zero focus on the customer service. b) Management should clearly call out for wait time and give proper heads up to Customers rather than keeping them waiting at the table. c) Just keeping more tables (to accommodate more customers) in the café does not help, you need to follow the standards while you are serving so many customers at the same time.

Overall our Valentine's day celebration experience was not a fond one to cherish. Big Cup café Bhubaneswar - you guys seriously need to rethink on Customer service. Its a big responsibility to take on such a brand and make sure to provide high...

Been to this place for a hangout. The ambience of the outlet was nice. This is one of the coolest open space cafe in the city. Got the table soon I reached the place. It was well cleaned and well maintained. Coming to the food, we'd ordered Sandwich, Brownie with Ice cream and espresso. All are okayish in taste. The presentation of the food was good. Espresso wasn't served with right temperature. I appreciate the politeness of the staffs towards us.Efficiency of service was decent. Here's my breakdown reviews.

Ambience: 4/5 Efficiency of service: 3/5 Taste of food: 2/5 Presentation of food: 3/5 Temperature of food: 3/5 Worth of money: 3/5

Room for improvement: Taste of food, Temperature of foods and drinks.

Been to this place for a dinner with my family. This time the restaurant wasn't cleaned properly. When I asked the staff to alter the chairs, he asked he can't. He took out the cushion and asked me to sit. He starts arguing. This was disgusting. Not at all appreciated. Coming to the food, had ordered Espresso, Sandwich, Mixed fried rice, Schezwan noodles, Tai pai chicken and Brownie. Espresso was served at room temperature. I had requested for brown bread but he served with white bread. After I asked him, he changed with brown bread and taste wasn't good at all. The breads weren't good. Staffs weren't attentive towards us. Extremely poor experience.

I would urge the management to educate staffs, how they should behave to customers.

Place is good but service is worst (really pathetic), We had to wait for 1 hr for a cup of coffee and a stater. I observed that output from kitchen is very slow, it's not well organised or managed properly. Like 8 chefs combined together take 30 mins to cook 2 plate veg noodles and then 30 mins to complete a burger. Same with coffee counter.

Waiters don't even care about customers - They won't assign you seats; you have to find a free seat your self. Then there are 1-2 empty tables at the corner, basically waiters clearly deny they won't serve food here.

Overall behaviour from staff towards customer was like "PLEASE DON'T COME HERE AND SAVE US SOME WORK"

And the funny thing is this table is in front of the kitchen which does not have an exhaust and they have placed a large standing fan which throws all the smelly irritating smoke directly at the customers sitting there.

If they continue with this attitude I don't see a good future for this cafe even though it's trending now days. Service used to be better a month ago.
