WORST dining experience of my life — Absolutely Disgusting Service!

I visited Big Cup last night at around 9:02 PM with my aged parents, hoping to spend some quality time with them over dinner. When we reached, the indoor dining area was completely full, so we decided to leave. However, the security guard suggested we try the rooftop dining area, which seemed fairly empty except for one family. Trusting that, we agreed.

We were seated, and a waitress came and took our order. After 20 minutes, she returned saying the order had been forwarded to the chef but we now needed to move downstairs to the first floor once a table got vacant, as that’s where they’d serve our food. I agreed again without complaint because all I wanted was to enjoy dinner with my maa and baba.

But what followed next was completely outrageous. After another 30 minutes of waiting, the waitress came back again—this time to say the manager wanted to meet me. And to my utter shock, the manager straight-up denied to serve our food. No apologies. No explanation worth accepting. Just told us to leave the restaurant because the order was too much or they weren’t confident enough to prepare and serve it. Really? At 10 PM in the night? With two elderly parents sitting hungry?

No empathy, no professionalism, absolutely no sense of hospitality. They didn’t think once about how we would manage at that hour or where we would get food so late. It was humiliating, disrespectful, and utterly heartless.

We ended up going back home, all three of us — especially my parents — hungry and exhausted. Shameful experience. This is not how you treat customers, especially families with senior citizens. The staff clearly lack management skills, courtesy, and basic human decency. If you can’t handle a dinner rush, don’t run a restaurant.

I hope this message finds you well. I’m writing to express serious concern about the experience my family and I had today (10th August 2025) at your cafe near SUM Hospital.

We had placed an order with Ms. Saraswati for a Chilli Chicken Sizzler (with noodles instead of rice), garlic bread, and four hot and cold beverages. Unfortunately, we received an incorrect dish (Grilled Chicken Sizzler with rice), and despite clarifying our request, the issue was not addressed professionally. The staff showed little responsibility, and no one accepted the error.

To make matters worse, Ms. Lipi made inappropriate comments, was visibly disrespectful, and failed to clean our table properly. When this was brought to the manager's attention, the response was equally unprofessional, with an unpleasant exchange involving the manager and Ms. Lipi.

I also noticed an overcharge on the bill for a water bottle that we did not consume, but we paid it regardless.

This was meant to be a pleasant family outing, but the service was disappointing and far below expectations. I had requested contact details for the owner or a feedback form, but was denied both.
