Pretty below average tbh. Won't recommend at all for this price.

All of their chicken (tangdi and tikka masala) was chewey and rubbery. The only reason known to me for the chicken to be chewey and rubbery is becuase it is half done and kept in freezer from a day or 2 before and then pulled out and heated again. No other reason the chicken to taste like rubber.

The tangdi kebab had very less chicken. Seems like either the chicken was pretty weak and had no muscles or the chef had stripped down some meat from the leg piece for cost cutting purposes. (See photo). I hardly find any place with chicken tangdi so thin.

Tikka masala has bones in it. I have never seen anyone serving tikka masala with bone. Dal fry was also pretty below average and not recommended. Fish finger was also average.

They tried to fix the experience as we complained of the food taste and rubbery chicken by replacing the dish but hardly any noticeable improvement even after replacing the dish. The chef and manager trying best to serve us best but the food in itself is likely from freezer so unless you fix that no service improvement can compensate. Naan was ok.

To confirm my suspecion that they freeze half cooked chicken to use later, the replacement ordered was delivered on table in 5 minutes. This is only possible when you have half done chicken already there and grevy already prepared and you just mix them on a wok/pan.

Tikka masala didn't feel like it was in tandoor at all, although it was but not appropriately, usualy tikka masal pieces you can easily identify with the roasted smell and the pieces would have the signs of being in a tandoor. This one didn't had any signs of being inside a tandoor other than the hole to put the kebab stick in.

Feels too much expensive considering the locality, and food taste. While being expensive they don't compensate with quantity either. 5-6 pieces in a standard curry.Also the grevy they use for their items is pretty basic one, nothing inovative or different in taste and will have the taste close to maggi masala. This was a disappointment.

It is worth mentioning that one minor inconvenience we encountered was the limited parking availability at "The Chef." Finding a parking spot nearby proved to be a challenge, which might cause a bit of inconvenience, especially during peak hours. However, this slight drawback did not overshadow the overall positive experience we had at the restaurant.

All in all, "The Chef" is an excellent choice for hosting a small party or gathering. The exceptional cuisine, coupled with the inviting ambiance and attentive service, creates a memorable dining experience. While the parking situation could be improved, the overall quality of the restaurant's offerings more than compensates for this minor inconvenience.

I would highly recommend "The Chef" to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience in a cozy setting. We have a family get together on Dec 1,2024 in this beautiful resturantat at ghatikia.My sisters have assigned me to find a good resturant nearby, which lead me to choose this beautiful resturant. I have never gone to this resturant before so I was bit confused to choose right one for our get together.Then I made my mind to choose this one for that evening. I was overwhelmed by the service and ambience of this resturant.I have already requested resturant staff to make food delicious with less oil and spices.Obliged my request the chef has made food really delicious with out any artificial colour and extra oil n spices. There is a display in entrance of resturant that they don't use any artificial colour and any absurd spices to make food look attractive and extravagant. Committed to their display hoarding ,I am quite happy they really mean it. The ambience was really beautiful.The service was extremely nice.The staffs were very cordial and helpful.We have three babies and one kid on that night with us,but due to staff support we didn't face any kind of trouble Coming to food ,all the food we ordered was really up to the mark.We enjoyed every food on that night.particulary chicken tikka, chicken soup was outstanding.Even veg starters like paneer tikka, mushroom salt and pepper was extremely tasty and less spice. I strongly recommend this resturant to add in your bucket list for a enjoyable experience.
