I was disappointed. I had a lot of expectation from the external look and the way they have branded. But really disappointed after visiting.
Menu: price on very higher side, better you visit Kaniks Restaurant of Mayfair. You will get five star food at this price. Or else you visit Dalma, Odisha Hotel or Juhar you will get better foods at a lower price. This hotel did tried to include Odia dishes but menu mostly have Chinese and North Indian. Poor thought given. Doesn't deserve the name.
Quantity: Extremely disappointing. I have ordered for an Odia Bada Thali and I am surprised to see the quantities of items given. That won't be enough to feed a teenager. The 'saga bhaja' given was just two teaspoon. (See the picture)
Service: Dissatisfied, I asked the boy about the quantity, he said its their standard quantity, rice and dal can be given later but other items will cost extra. I asked him are you an Odia and what's the quantity of Odia side dishes that you normally eat in home. You should give that much quantity when you are offering a plate and charging exorbitantly. Shameless person said, sir you are right but this is our standard. I asked for their manager/supervisor he said they are on leave. Summary the standard is of poor standard.
Quality and Cleanliness: Average. Don't keep any good expectations, if you are ever visiting there. One of the bowl I found stained of repeat using. Horrible. How can they give such a bowl. (Refer photo)

Read moreI dined out here on the Bengali Naboborsho. They even had a new menu printed just for it so the prices were around 30rs more than what they actually were earlier. If you go during the weekdays the prices are less. We had chicken kasa, basanti polao, mango chutney (which was finger licking good)and topped it off with my very favourite ROSOGOLLA. Even has a Bhetki Fry (kyunki machli ke bina kaise hi hoga main course complete) The prices of the items were a bit overpriced according to me. The polao had very little quantity and was too sweet for my liking. But the chicken was good. But the thing is they need to make their food atleast a bit spicy cuz they were just too sweet.
Prices: Basanti polao- 150Rs Chicken kasa- 260 Rs (4 pieces) Mutton kasa- 350 Rs (4 pcs) Bhetki fry- 250 Rs Bhetki paturi- 280 Rs Mango chutney- 80 Rs Rosogolla - 30 Rs (2pcs)
Do order with your group and enjoy the cuisines and refresh your tastebuds. A good choice for both authentic Odia and Bengali cuisine. But you might need to book places early as it gets jammes up...
