A Disastrous Dining Experience - Would Give Negative Stars if I Could

I rarely write reviews, but when an experience is this bad, it deserves attention. This restaurant has managed to earn my disdain in a way few others have. I was initially drawn in by the "pure veg" promise, which seemed like a positive option compared to the surrounding choices. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives ended.

1. Abysmal Staff Behavior: The staff's attitude was shockingly poor. The waiter was visibly annoyed while taking my order, showing a level of impoliteness that's simply unacceptable. What was even worse, he didn't serve me at all—only to immediately serve the food to the next table as if he had some personal connection with them. The blatant favoritism was both insulting and humiliating. If I could give negative stars for this treatment, I absolutely would.

2. Overpriced and Underwhelming Food: I ordered a veg biryani that was overpriced for what it was. The taste was mediocre at best, but the real kicker was the portion size—it was ridiculously small for what I paid. I left feeling both unsatisfied and ripped off.

3. Hygiene - The Final Straw: While the place appeared clean, any semblance of hygiene was shattered when I found a large hair in my food. I didn't want to make a scene, so I quietly paid my bill and left, but this was the final nail in the coffin. My entire experience was ruined by this disgusting oversight.

I usually travel with my family, but I was alone on this occasion. One thing is for sure: I will never step foot in this restaurant again. I'd rather eat street food than subject myself to this kind of experience ever again.

I recently visited Anandam Restaurant and was quite disappointed with my experience. The place suffers from a clear lack of manpower, which affects everything from seating to service. There aren’t enough staff members to attend to customers efficiently, leading to delayed order taking and long wait times.

The seating arrangements were also inadequate, forcing us to stand around and wait while watching others eat, which was quite uncomfortable. When we finally got a table, the service was still slow, and we had to wait much longer than expected for our food to arrive. To make matters worse, some items from our order were either missing or brought out very late.

Overall, while the food may be decent, the disorganized service and lack of attention to customer comfort made the experience less enjoyable. I hope they improve these aspects...

We went to this place around 10:15-10:20 pm for dinner. The staff let us in but started misbehaving. They didn’t even serve water. They were asking us to order quickly since the chef had to leave. My entire point is if the kitchen was to be closed they could have politely requested us to leave. The starters were served quickly within 5 minutes (even the tandoor one) but it was cold, tasted like out of refrigerator. The main course was okay. There were no desserts. We were waiting for our family members to join but they asked us ki pack kar k lejao. They didn’t care...
