My experience at Night Food Street near PGI Chandigarh Gate has been highly disappointing. I visited twice, and both times, I encountered issues that reflect poor quality and dishonest practices.
First Visit; I ordered 3 veg thalis for packing. Each thali was supposed to include 3 rotis, but there were only 2 in each, and they were completely burned tandoori rotis. This level of quality was unacceptable, and the deviation from the advertised menu was frustrating.
Second Visit; On my second visit, I ordered Veg Biryani twice. The experience this time was even worse:
Inconsistent Pricing: The first biryani was charged at ₹150, while the second was charged at ₹120. The display menu mentioned ₹140 as the price, creating confusion.
Dishonesty from Staff: When I questioned the pricing, the owner called a salesperson to justify it. The salesperson claimed the new price was ₹150 and even brought random menu cards from tables to prove his point. However, all these menus displayed ₹140 as the price.
Owner’s Response: Instead of addressing the issue honestly, the owner dismissed my concern with, "जो हो गया सो हो गया, अब पैसे वापिस नहीं होंगे" (What’s done is done, there will be no refund).
I wasn’t expecting a refund but a sincere explanation or accountability.
It’s evident that such practices—overcharging customers and providing substandard food—might be common here, with the owner appearing complicit in these unethical behaviors. The lack of honesty and responsibility from the staff and owner reflects poorly on the establishment.
I would not recommend this place to anyone. The food quality, inconsistent pricing, and dishonest practices leave a lot to be desired. It’s better to explore other options in the area that value their customers and...

Usually street food has a lot of food garbage lying around the area which eventually attracts insects and is unhygienic, however, here its the opposite. A very clean and tidy area, no food litter around the area.

We had a bike ride towards baddi so this was the central spot for all riders to meet. 177
Infact the parking is of no cost and very neat and tidy, clean roads and organised dustbins.
