This place is good for having Traditional Non Veg fare at reasonable prices. Their Mutton Curry is really good. The Tandoori Chicken Tikka is a little spicy but extremelty tasty. They have put some pics of some celebrities who have tried their food. The best part is that the food is piping hot and Tandoori items are really good. Very famous food point, for breakfast lunch and dinner... Well you get both veg and non veg over here, being a vegetation I go for that only. And liked the taste. Just one issue being a famous place it's almost full during nights and you might need to wait a bit for your turn. Specially on festive season. Wanna have chicken with old taste come and try once if you are in Chandigarh. This place is known for the non veg recipies. I tried RaRa chicken and it was the softest of chicken I have ever tested. I was surprised by both quality and quantity. The order are processed in due time. Family often visits this place. You will find that many famous Indian people have visited here from Politicians, Actors to singers and those related to sports.

Short version : Bad place which piggybacks on past fame. "oh. So you haven't been to Pal dhaba" There is a an attraction created for this establishment by the dozens of celebrities who have visited it. Which is precisely why I went. Usually as my experience goes, these once-popular places had been probably very good when the 1st generation managed business. Over the years and with pressure to increase scale, the taste is sacrificed. Usually but not always. All said. We had to go. And we did. We ordered the obvious chicken butter masala. Apart from mutton seekh and tandoori rotis. A lassi too because Punjab. To my utter disappointment and even though I walked in with low expectations (given what I wrote above about these famous places), I found the food quite below average. I learn cooking from mom & YT videos. I am a mile away from any cooking expertise. But Believe me, I can make better butter chicken anyday. I can any day. What was wrong : the chicken pieces aren't done in a tandoor. So the smoky flavour is missing. The chicken pieces seem to have been boiled separately and kept aside. Combined with a readymade gravy and simmered together to finish. May be, to tackle scale of orders. In effect, the flavour hasn't seeped in. Bland inside. And the gravy was sweet as well. It didn't have the tart of tomato or the slight heat of Kashmiri chillies. Bad prep even from my 101 standards! Then the seekh kabab took disappointment to another level altogether. I mean it was dry, very very dry. Overdone in tandoor with no melted fat inside the seekh which usually gives it a juicy texture. The seekh was like biting into a pencil rubber. And the flavour was so overdone with spices, there wasn't any flavour of smoked meat which is what tandoor is all about.Very very bad. The lassi was the saving grace and if at all I end up at this place, I will only have 2 glasses of this. So. Verdict? I will say visit because FOMO. But don't go with any high expectations and hope that they still aren't beaten down.

This place is known for its non veg but being a vegetarian I thought veg should also be good if not the best. So I gave it a try when I was in Chandigarh. Ordered sarson ka saag, makki ki roti, paneer butter masala and lassi. Good things first, Sarson ka saag and makki ki roti were good and authentic. I really liked the lassi although a bit too sweet. Food will be ready in just 5-10 mins. Fastest service in restaurant with such rush. But I was utterly butterly disappointed with the Paneer butter masala. Waiter told me it had the same gravy as butter chicken but I highly doubt that. And if it is same then, god fix the tastebuds of those giving it a 5 star reviews! Paneer JUST BUTTER Masala was just plain salty curry with too much of butter and no ther flavor at all (literally no flavor at all). They just think that all you have to do to make a dish taste delicious is Add Butter. I have never tasted worse PBM anywhere. We two people could eat just a couple of spoons and had it packed. I was shocked that how can they ruin a dish as basic as PBM which you can order at any restaurant and expect it to be atleast okay. And how can a restaurant claimed to be the best in the city make the worst of all. Take a look at PBM in the pictures and tell me if this should be called food or poison?

Very Dissapointing & Pathetic Food I am extremely sorry for the unpleasant pics. Actually I couldn't have my food, as it was just not tasty. Visited the so called "Famous" Pal Dhaba at Chandigarh after going through youtube videos. The hype was so much that I specially went all the way from Ambala to this place to have a grub. However, I was extremely dissapointed with the food here & the experience was very unpleasant. Here are the details :- 1. Butter Chicken. Had heard so much about their Butter Chicken, that I ordered it without any second thoughts. However, the moment I tasted the first bite, my taste buds went into a state of shock. It was unlike Butter Chicken & very bland. I dont know why theres so much hype about this one. Its a waste of money & calories. Not Recommended. 2. Mutton Rogan Josh. This too was their specialty. However, the mutton pieces were so chewy that, pulling the flesh out of the first chunk became a task in itself. The gravy was again not the right type . I returned the dish. Infact I didn't eat my food as I didnt find it worth. A thoroughly horrific experience. I think the proprietor must take an insight into their food preparation before their reputation crumbles.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Old Pal Dhaba in Chandigarh, and I must say, it was a truly satisfying experience! I ordered the Butter Chicken and Butter Garlic Naan, and both dishes exceeded my expectations. The Butter Chicken was rich, creamy, and full of flavor, with tender pieces of chicken cooked to perfection. The sauce was velvety smooth and had just the right amount of spiciness. It was love at first bite! The Butter Garlic Naan was equally impressive - soft, fluffy, and slathered with a generous amount of butter and garlic. It was the perfect accompaniment to the Butter Chicken. What really stood out to me was the generous portion size, which was quite large compared to the price. I felt like I got more than my money's worth, which is always a bonus! Overall, I would highly recommend Old Pal Dhaba to anyone looking for delicious, authentic North Indian cuisine in Chandigarh at a great value. The only reason I wouldn't give it a full 5 stars is that there's always room for improvement, but it's definitely a must-visit!

One of the must-visit places in Chandigarh for non-veg food lovers is Pal Dhaba, which is located in Sector 28. The restaurant is famous for its traditional Punjabi cuisine, and its Butter Chicken and Tandoori Chicken are some of the best in the city. If you are a non-vegetarian and happen to be visiting Chandigarh, then you must check out this amazing food destination. It is a true paradise for food lovers, especially those who enjoy non-vegetarian cuisine. During my visit, I ordered malai tikka, mutton rara, and butter chicken and I must say, everything was exquisitely prepared and tasted absolutely delicious. The restaurant is very well-maintained and the staff were extremely courteous and well-groomed. Overall, I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great dining experience with friends or family
