Now I believe I'm liberal when it comes to reviewing food joints. With that caveat, please do consider this observation of mine.
The place is pretty quaint, cosy and has indeed one of the best ambience in the surrounding areas... They have a separate smokers section and the adjacent nursery adds beauty to the whole place. Parking is just adequate. So ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ stars for the ambience.
Now comes the deficiencies: The menu is not updated so there are many off-menu food items, eg, the lasagna is not on the print menu, but reviews of it being one of the best, well, I don't know for sure, but the wait staff definitely say it's good. ⭐⭐ That brings us to the staff. The wait staff have a grasp on what's available at their joint. Ask them what is better and you can expect a honest reply to the food you want to order. Courteous and on-time delivery. ⭐⭐⭐ Stars for this. Can be more friendly and response time can increase. The most important part of a restaurant - food. When you look for cuisines other than Indian especially the Mexican, Italian, Arabian Chinese(indianized 😉) in Raipur, you'll be disappointed, so I pretty much don't have high expectations on availability per se. Now, this food joint indeed advertises availability of some Mexican & Italian snacks Bruschetta, Tacos, Fussili, Pasta etc. (no tamales, enchiladas or burritos). The problem is availability...I was told they were not available, which is a huge bummer. Now, the food which I ordered, a Cheese Jalapeno poppers and a Burger, both were substandard as in the cheese did not even melt and was a sticky mass - inedible and the burger - buns could pass off as Rusks instead. The only accolade I can give here is that the food portions are not skimpy.
I make it a point to never return food, but leave a review with the wait staff. But, the appalling point was that they do not accept the food was sub-standard. The beverage, a brownie shake was indeed well made. Thick, frothy and not too sweet to my taste. So for the food which I ordered ⭐⭐star.
Btw, I did visit in the day between 2-4pm and generally that's a lull time with few consumers and no rush, but that's no excuse for a place which calls itself a 'Living Room cafe'. I'm no Gordon Ramsay and I don't say I know a lot about food, but I have had my fair share of good food across several countries and I'd be very happy with just good food served for the bucks I've spent.
Overall: This place is better served for quick luncheon meets (maybe Indian/Chinese-indianized foods), but my confidence level of the joint based on food served to me isn't...
