Read moreWe stayed in an Executive Suite at Red Chillee Restro for 4D3N during Diwali. It is a nice, quiet hotel that is almost centrally located between Daman and Dudhani Lake (Khanvel Road). This hotel can be a good choice if you want to make your base in Silvassa and explore Daman as well. A few popular sight seeing places are near this hotel. But others are far off (around 20-25 Kms) for which you will need a taxi or your own car.
The suite is luxurious and spacious. It cost us INR 5000 approx. per night which we felt was value for money considering the amenities (including breakfast and a Smart TV!), spaciousness and that it was peak Diwali time. The bathroom is plush with a nice shower but the wash basin sink has a huge leak. All the water from the drain pipe comes out from the wooden cabinet and flows underneath your feet. Hopefully they will repair it before the next guests arrive.
The highlight of Red Chillee is its lovely restaurant that offers great variety of dishes across different cuisines. The food is very delicious and tasty. Sufficient portions for 2 people. We loved their Lebanese Pizza and Fruit Salad with Ice Cream. Their Buffet breakfast offered a variety of items like Alu Paratha, Idli/Medu Vada Saambhar, Poori-Bhaaji, Upma, Bread/Jam butter, sprouts, fresh watermelon juice, and chopped fruits.
Overall, a good place to stay in Silvassa if you looking for something closer to the main city...
Read moreWe stayed in this hotel for one night on 31Dec23. The property appears to be new. The hotel staff were very helpful and courteous. We were upgraded to their executive suite with no additional charge. A few observations about our stay:-
Being an executive suite, it was spacious, with a sitting and dining area with four chairs, a small fridge, a sofa set, a large bath area and of course a reasonable bed room with a king sized bed. The entrance to the room leads to the living area which has the dining area to the right. Owing to whatever reason, the opening to the bathroom is almost adjacent to the dining area. The bathroom's partially frosted door had a defective latch. Above the WC area there was an open netted area, with no curtain which overlooked into some neighbouring house's bath or some other room I guess. The bath area was extravagantly large.
There were no fans in the entire suite and though AC was adequate, air circulation wasn't possible. There were no luggage racks.
There is a in house pure vegetarian restaurant providing multi cuisine choices, which was very good.
All-in-All, a reasonable hotel but with some design...
