If I could give them 6* I would. The folks who work here are the nicest people, from the baristas to the chef - they are AWESOME! I love the space they've created too, minimalist , elegant and inviting. fond of their coffee and love their food menu it has sooooo many healthy options including GF choices. If you haven't been check it out! Stay the same BT-Noida . Don't change a thing!
Update to this review 6.27 The place has issues with parking, the car gets dinged up while parking here mostly because the issues with parking have not been addressed despite repeated requests. Further the bathroom situation is pretty tardy- its unhygienic and unclean , the maintenance is poor, this despite repeated requests to keep them clean.
So this place has gone from excellent to bad in a matter of two weeks for me. Last week the shift manager got mad at me for ordering a small plate of Peri Peri fries, I've had this exact thing a couple of times before and the waiters have been wonderful. But this time the manager was upset. He billed me for the large plate and when I objected to the bill he got mad again when I asked him to correct the bill ,he simply changed the name of the item and left the amount the same. When he returned with an updated bill he snatched the card from my hand and I could see he was visibly upset. Now this is not about the $, it's about basic courtesy especially if you're in the service industry, don't tell me you'll bring out an order and then bill me for something else because it's not on the menu.
Today my friend and I sat for several minutes after we walked in. the staff saw us walk in, cleaned the table we were at and didn't hand us the menu for at least another 10 minutes , when we flagged them down they gave the menu and then didn't bother to take the order for another 10. Now I can understand if the place is busy but it wasn't at all. We got up and left. Twice within a week we were met with service that can be called unprofessional and rude at best.
Today was the last time here. I won't be going back. Thank you for your amazing coffee and food. It's a shame that the staff is unable to serve a place so carefully curated and thoughtfully...
Read moreHi, my family went to the blue tokai noida cafe on the morning of the 9th September 2023. We went there specifically after checking that the place was pet friendly. We went there with our dog. The food was ok, and the place quite lovely. The staff was friendly and helpful. My family especially liked the textile shop that was adjacent. My dog sat quietly next to us the whole time.
However, as we were getting ready to pay the bill, this elderly couple came into the restaurant and the gentleman loudly complained about my dog being in the restaurant. Despite it being explained to him that the restaurant was pet friendly, he continued to be nasty, making extremely unpleasant and rude remarks to the staff, but the whole restaurant could hear him. It made my whole family feel unsafe and ruined a perfectly good meal.
After the meal, and after my family left the restaurant, I explained to the manager that he should deal with nasty unsafe people at the doorstep itself, instead of letting them continue to rant loudly in the restaurant.
When I stepped out of the restaurant, I found this elderly man at the exit hurling abuse at my family. Being an elderly man, I chose to simply remove him from the situation and put him in his car so he could leave. It was frankly better than he deserved. I should have just let my family beat him up and leave him on the road for the kind of abuse he was spewing.
None of this happens if your staff takes a proactive approach to mentally disturbed individuals coming into the shop. I do not appreciate having to double up as security for my family when I'm out for a meal.
We would like to come back, as up until this man walked in we were having a nice meal. Now my family refuses to come back because they've been so scarred by this experience.
If a place is pet friendly, someone who loudly proclaims his animal hatred should be stopped at the door, or removed...
Read moreI will skip posting too much here, Blue tokai is what brought the indigenous coffee to us. Coffee otherwise seemed an alien concept and seemed like it only grew outside. They were the one who put our( Like Kerehaklu estate of Mr Tepaiah and all other estates in South India) coffees âď¸ on our table right here to us. I had Starbucks and it was high on sugar and seemed devoid of happiness in comparison to blue tokai. Go to this place, this is the place to go for coffee and hot chocolates unless you are going for show off and not for coffee; Starbucks is then your place to go to. I am "hypercritical" of places anyway so here you go now:- Sandwiches at this place was not great compared to what I am used to at their Hauzkhas branch. It was infact a tardy affair. You need to make fresh batch of bread and even chips were bad, no moisture and seemed like redone/overdone chips. They were so stiff that I had to take care of my oral mucosa that they were not cut while eating those chips. So, yes they need to better their sandwiches. Rest is great. Also, you can do better planting and gardening but then it might not be in your hand given it's a rented...
