Not too long ago I had reached out to the FTI community and asked for suggestions on an idea for a birthday party for a 13 year old and baker who could make a unicorn cake.

I went through the list and zeroed in on Kajal Karni Bajaj from Sugar Blossoms Cake Studio in Jor Bagh. I was quoted about 2000 more than other bakers and it was a bit further away in terms of logistics and picking up the cake, but my gut told me Kajal was the way to go. For starters she was straight up and set expectations and told me what was possible and what wasn't. Then I viewed her pics of past works and was blown away with the attention to detail. Thirdly where as some others weren't willing to add in a certain combination of ingredients, Kajal said it won't be an issue.

I picked up the cake on the evening before and came home. To my dismay the eyebrow liner of the unicorn had streaked. I guess it found out it was gonna be eaten the following day. I immediately called Kajal and sent her a snapshot of what looked like the unicorn was crying. She told me to keep it in the fridge and that she would come home first thing the next morning. As promised she showed up the next day and fixed the streak and applied a new eyebrow. #dedication #accountability

The outcome was a spectacular unicorn cake which everyone enjoyed immensely! My Daughter was giddy looking at the cake, her friend's went ecstatic when it was cut and the rainbow layers reveled. I heard excitement when some of the kids said "OMG it has strawberries and custard". Everyone was in smiles and you know that's money well spent.

Firstly i'm a cake fanatic and i don't mind spending big on them.I came across them in 2020 & i'v never ordered a single cake from anyone else since then.The way i do it is that i provide them with pictures of how i want the cake to look & they replicate the cake.They have a whole palette of flavors..more than any other baker i'v seen..both classics & seasonals.Apart from cakes they also do cupcakes,cakepops,cakesicles,hampers,customised cake toppers.Trust me once you have their cake there is no appreciating any other cake both in looks & taste.Again i'd like to mention that they are a little bit pricey so you've gotta be a cake enthusiast.But it'll be worth...
