I was a bit worried after reading some of the reviews, but I’m happy I gave Govindas a try! As a foodie, I rarely get satisfied unless the food truly delivers and this place met my expectations for a south Indian delicacy that I often miss in NCR.
The ambience is calm, spacious, and tastefully done, with humble staff adding to the positive vibe. The paper dosa was crisp with a gentle aroma of ghee. Truly a treat for the senses. The rava dosa was average, but I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt since it’s a dish that requires a really skilled cook. The vada and idli were soft, fresh, and flavourful, with sambar and chutney complementing them beautifully. The herbal tea was just ok, though not as good as the one I’ve enjoyed at Juhu ISKCON. Read moreI found many issues with this restaurant.
Self service ( No one will serve you food ) They will not allow even a cake from outside , i was carrying one cake but to cut the cake over there i have to purchase cake from him (Ek baar bakra aa gya hai pura kaat ke hi bjna hai inka aim) After punching your order they won’t allow you to change any thing ( I ordered Paneer lababdar then i told him wait instead of paneer i need mix veg ,he told you order has been punched but if u want u can take mix veg at the price of Paneer lababdar. At the End they forgot to give us mouth freshener saunf , i told this issue to the person who was at the counter / reception. He just ignored me like a deaf person.
As this restaurant is in iskcon temple people use to trust these people but they are just making people fool and making new rules to exploit customers.
