Known Nirula’s since childhood… our go to place in CP… in 80s.. People of my generation and my parents will swear by Nirula’s ..I teach here so I visited for lunch. Its a vegetarian fare.. Ordered a cheese 🧀 and mushroom 🍄‍🟫 pizza 🍕 with capsicum 🫑 and onion 🧅..priced at a humble 179 ₹ The Pizza 🍕 arrived 20 minutes later. It was crispy, light, fluffy, fresh… but as I was informed while taking the order… the cheese 🧀 wasn’t mozzarella.. the mozzarella taste was missing and mozzarella is characteristic of becoming stringy while hot. The cheese was hot but it spread like halva. It was unsalted and it removed the total taste of the pizza 👎🏼👎🏼👎🏼. The pizza sauce was the ordinary ketchup. Some severe cost saving is being observed. The pizza probably was worth ₹50.. for which I paid ₹ 179.. after the pizza I wanted to have a cup of hot chocolate being winter.. but didn’t have the guts to place the order after the pizza 🍕 experience. Like they say… don’t fret if the customer is not there.. check your services first. Totally damaged the brand name Nirula’s. I won’t visit here again and will advise others also...
