The Urban Kasba - BYOB & Café: Seriously Disappointing Experience. So, I went to The Urban Kasba last Wednesday around 8 PM with my friend, just trying to have a nice time. Big mistake! What a total letdown, honestly. First off, the guy at the door told us, "Nope, no tables for two." But honestly, I could clearly see other pairs sitting at tables! When I pointed it out, he just mumbled something about tables being booked for four people who were "coming." Seriously?! It felt like a complete brush-off. We ended up leaving, and get this, in the parking lot, a couple told us they got denied entry because they were wearing slippers. What?! I was dressed nicely, being polite, and so was my friend. Seriously, what's wrong with these guys?! Judging someone by their footwear for a casual café? That's just incredibly rude! If I'm trying to pay and have a good time with my friend, my comfort (like wearing slippers) isn't their business. This isn't the kind of welcome I'd ever expect. Really poor service and just a completely unwelcoming vibe.
in your reply- I understand the rationale behind these measures and the challenge of limited seating. However, I must reiterate and clarify the specific reason for my denied entry, as it seems to have been overlooked. After the couple informed me of the situation, I directly confronted your staff member at the entrance, and they explicitly stated that I was not allowed in because of my slippers. I urge you to verify this with your staff and review your CCTV footage for confirmation. Given this, I find it unacceptable to be blamed for "misbehavior" or to have it implied that I am pointing fingers without cause. For your information, I did not engage in any misbehavior or say anything further to your staff; I simply left the premises after being denied entry due to my footwear. Therefore, please do not attempt to lecture me or imply any wrongdoing on my part. I am providing genuine feedback about my experience and expect it to be addressed based on the facts, not through generalizations or by invoking "female safety" as a blanket justification for what occurred. I assure you I...
Read moreWe had one of the worst dining experiences at this restaurant today. We were a group of 16 people, and from the moment we entered, it was clear that the restaurant was not equipped to handle larger groups. Initially, they gave us a seating arrangement that could barely accommodate 10 people and expected us to adjust the rest somehow in that limited space. After repeated requests and discussions, they finally shifted us to another area which still could only seat 12–13 people comfortably.
When we requested proper seating for all 16 of us, instead of helping us, the staff—especially the manager and waiters—responded with an extremely rude and threatening attitude. They outright asked us to leave the restaurant, saying they could not accommodate us and hinted at “other ways” of handling the situation if we didn’t leave. The behavior was shockingly aggressive and unprofessional, almost like dealing with goons rather than hospitality staff.
On top of that, the food was below average and nowhere near acceptable standards for the price charged.
This was by far the worst restaurant experience I have ever had, and I strongly advise others—especially those in larger groups—to avoid this...
Read moreThe service is worst here. They have gone greedy with time. They charge Rs.100 per head and extra 10% service charge on the food. They do not have enough beer glasses for a large group. Non veg options are either frozen or stale. Moreover the taste for which we used to go here is no more the same. The staff, including the manager argues and the show baazi is high with wireless in hands of all the staff members in such a small place. They denied removing the 10% service charge on a bill of 6000+ for not providing the beer glasses and bad non veg food. Further they mentioned the service charge is mandatory. From when the service charge became mandatory. They don't even have big plastic glasses as an alternative. Music is disturbing instead of chilling and vibing ones. Quality of speakers is very bad, they are just loud without quality sound. Brands and reputation takes time to build but the greed for money takes it down in no time. Urban Kasba is another name in the list of business winding up soon. Avoid visiting the place if you don't want to ruin your evening with bad experience. Opt for many other better options...
