Chaayos present in IIT Delhi has a lived up to its reputation of Chaayos family. Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian foods are available. One of the best things about the place is the price of food items. Believe it or not, as compared to other locations, you can get nearly 60% cheaper food here because of the discount provided for IIT students. The home made style aalo-sandwich costs about 160 ₹ anywhere else, while it is just 68 ₹ in here. The raw materials for making dishes are pretty fresh and of reasonable standards. Also as the name suggests, it has its speciality "chai" i.e. tea. The variety and the taste are both upto the mark. If you are staying away from your home, you can get the taste of home made tea from here. Even there are various indian varieties of tea, like Gur tea, masala chai, elaichi chai, kutting chai, etc. You can eat at the place or take away, since both the options are present, which comes in handy many times. The system of generating OTP through phone for orders is an effective way of keeping in record their regular customers, which are benefitted with discounts and offers from time to time, like ₹100 cashback was available last month (December). On the occasion of 26 Jan, an awesome offer is also present, in which if you have a meal of 260 and above, you get a packet of namkeen free from there. Also on a purchase of 150, a chai is free worth ₹46. So for a chai lover, it is a place must to visit and explore the wonderful taste of dishes...

Read moreNothing great about this outlet. I think they monopolise over their presence on the campus, and this is visible in their rude service. Half of the items are not available, sometimes as basic as tea: the prime item of Chaayos! Sometimes they rudely deny you service excusing large crowd or dysfunctional internet. Be ready to face outright order rejection due to unavailability of cups (like today was my fate) when the customer is forced to buy more expensive Kulhad chai options! So, if you can, avoid this place as there are other great tea options in and around...
