Was really disappointed , it is just a sham of fine dinning with poorly trained staff, poorly planned interiors and average food . When I reached with my family , the restaurant was full , we were put on a waiting list . We went around the market when we recvd a call that our table was ready . When we reached , I was told by the guy at the reception that the last guests are still finishing and we will have to wait more, why did he call us so early ? We then waited 15 additional minutes, while we were waiting I asked him for a glass of water , I was told why don’t you have it when you get seated . So much for award winning hospitality.
Then we were made to sit on tables on the right side of the restaurant, which seems to have been designed keeping 5 yr olds in mind and there was absolutely no space for grown adults to site comfortably. We complained , and politely asked us to be seated to another table when it gets vacant while we order here. The waiter again called the front desk guy to discuss this, he told us if you want to be re seated you should go out and wait again as we will give this table to another guest in waiting . All the guest sitting on similar tables were complaining.
I then asked him to call his manager , who to his credit did then try to make up for his staff and then did later change our table but over 30 minutes had passed and the experience was already ruined .
For a fine dinning place which is not the cheapest , and with the legacy they claim , the least they should have is a better trained staff and a comfortable seating .
I have traveled the world and dinned from budget to Michelin star restaurants, I would have let this go but the experience so poor that I decided to leave this review . I hope the management/ owners can...
Read moreChina Garden, a much-awarded pan-Asian restaurant, has recently launched its Punjabi Bagh outlet in West Delhi. Conveniently located in the bustling West Punjabi Bagh market, it offers ample paid parking right out front. Since it’s newly opened, the location hadn’t yet appeared on Google Maps—but I found it easily and was actually the first to suggest it on Maps, which was promptly accepted.
The food was enjoyable, though not quite extraordinary. Given its reputation and the presence of an established branch in Greater Kailash, South Delhi, my expectations were high—and not fully met.
We ordered Teppanyaki Chicken, Teppanyaki Greens, and Hakka Noodles. For drinks, we tried the Peach Iced Tea and Pina Colada. Both were refreshing, though the iced tea leaned a bit too sweet for my taste.
The decor is elegant and thoughtfully done, and the staff were attentive and welcoming—definitely a highlight of the visit.
Overall: A pleasant experience with good food and great ambiance, but slightly below the mark considering the...
Read moreVisited last night with slightly higher expectations.Got the first shock when front desk guy said that booking done on zomato was not valid but got the seats after little bit of argument/convincing. Second shock was tight seating with zero back slant and zero movement of table in our effort to sit.we literally crawled to our seats.spacewas so tight that we can't even see our own napkin in our lap.God forbid if it would have been slipped then you can't even pick it up from ground.Though apart from furniture disaster ambience was good. Service was also so slow that starter and main course even ordering after half an our came almost at same time.Need to ask for a diet coke for 4 time which also came after I was done with the main course. Whatever Food we ordered was good but not exceptional. Staff was overall polite but confused. Won't like to...
